PSVITA Screen is black. (Won't turn on)

My Vita screen won't turn on. I've tried basically everything possible. I tried to hold down the power button for 30 secs to try and get it to go to safe mode, but alas, safe mode wouldn't appear on the screen.

I dunno what's up. Anyone got anything?

Trying holding power and home. It's worked for me in the past.

Welp! I looked at some FAQs for you and BOY...they are the least helpful FAQs on earth. Holy shit. The only thing I could suggest would be to call them.

I tried that, thanks, but it didn't work.

It turns on okay. The touchscreen still works and you can still hear that crappy elevator music, just the screen won't turn on.

That's gotta be a hardware issue, then. Call them for a replacement.

I have no basis for this, but maybe try plugging it into a computer? It could trigger it to go into some kind of USB mode and break whatever logjam it’s stuck in (assuming the screen isn’t just dead).

Also, let the battery run dry. Who knows?

Never encountered that issue with my Vita, if you are any good with assembly and disassembly I'd suggest taking it apart and make sure the screen is still connected, that is only do it if you don't have a current warranty.

Good luck mate, I feel your pain.
