Sega's "Project Ringo" has now been confirmed as being Puyo Puyo 7, which will be released on Wii, DS and PSP

The puzzler bares a very slight resemblance to Tetris: where you build up a series of coloured blocks, known here as "Puyos", that break down once a group of 4 of the same colour have been aligned correctly.

According to the report in Famitsu Magazine, the version on Wii includes a online competition mode and a similar Fever mode known as "transformation", where deflecting attack fills up a power meter for bigger attacks.

The DS version is due out on July 30th in Japan, with the Wii version due in Winter.

I liked Puyo Pop Fever on the GBA, so I'll have to keep an eye on this.

I liked the Puyo Puyo Portos for the SNES/Genesis, so same here.
