Hey all

After Christmas I feel like geting some game related things in the sales. However, I am 50/50 over whether to get a Playstation 3 console with some games or go with the cheaper option of getting some titles for my 360.

Option 1). Get a Playstation 3

+ Free online play.
+Some exclusives I would like to play such as MGS 4, Resistance Fall of Man 2, Little Big Planet.

- cost of console.

- another machine to balance the getting games for.

Option 2). Get more 360 titles

+ cheaper than getting another machine.

+ achievments for Gears of War 2, Devil May Cry 4, etc that I would be interested in getting.

- Issues with te 360 in the past may arrise again meaning a 2+ week wait for repair if it does go again.

- Cost of live for multiplayer online.

I would like your thoughts on what to do and any suggestions for games on either platform (they can be multiplatform or exclusive, I honestly dont mind) and what to do I would like.

Well, if you get a PS3 now, you can get those games and anything that looks interesting for 2009.
Or, you can just buy a boatload of 360 games, and continue to delay your eventual purchase of a PS3.

I don't have a PS3, but if I did have the extra cash for one, I'd probably buy it next year. There's way too many 360 games that I need to catch up on. But that's just me.

I would shoot for the PS3. Even if it'll cost you a bit more than the 360 games, you'll be able to catch up on some of the PS3 games you haven't played during the dry summer months.

What this guy said. I got a PS3 for Christmas, and it seems great so far though I haven't played anything yet. I am going to get MGS4 and LBP, but that is about it for now. The achievements are great on 360, so that will probably stop me from getting all of my games on the PS3. Still, don't get one if you don't have the "time" for both.

I prefer the PS3, but for you, it really comes down to which one you think is a better fit for your personal tastes. Take a look at the games for each, and see which one you think will bring you more joy.

Get a Ps3, as heaps of new titles are coming out soley for that.
like Killzone 2 God of war 3 etc. But if you want more 360 titles that is good as well.
But personally Ps3.

So thats KZ2, UC2, GOW3, and InFamouse...
