I just finally got my 360 hooked up to the internet today. I've got a lot to spend, and am looking for some of the XBLA greats I've missed through the years !

Thanks a load.

    ALL OF THE ABOVE.

I typed out a list, then realized it was just redundant to do so. Lots of good games mentioned so far - check out the indie games area too, most of it is crap but every now and then a good game pops up like Cthulu Saves the Word or Epic Dungeon.

    Oh jeez, too many :P

Even the last couple of weeks has seen some really good releases from the demos I've played and Joe Dangers 2 is out tomorrow as well. Below are my impressions based on the demos:

    • Red Johnson's Chronicles - I like point and click games and even though I only played the demo, I enjoyed its style, characters and puzzles. There is some good voicing acting from the main characters (others, maybe not so much). It's only 800 points too which is a rarity these days.
    • Double Dragon Neon - The classic game but completely updated in this modern day sequel. I thought going in that this was just gonna be crap like a lot of these things tend to be but Way Forward fantastic job in my opinion. The gameplay feels fun and they've added some really cool mechanics such as cassette tapes where each side contains different songs which give you either a passive or non-passive power. The game seems to be very tongue in cheek as the first main boss you come across just so happens to be in space after you walk into a trap and this boss has a similar voice to skeletor from He-Man.
    • Mark of the Ninja - You can probably look up a bunch of reviews and videos on this one but I played it and I really wish I had more money than I do right now along with time :P It definitely nails the feeling of stealth but at the same time not making you feel weak. The graphics are incredibly nice with nice attention to detail but it's all about the gameplay here.
    • Rock Band Blitz - I was actually rather skeptical of this game when first announced as it could have simply been this little throw away Arcade game similar to that of Burnout:Crash but silly me in thinking that Harmonix half-arse things. If you're into Rock Band, this is a really nice addition especially if you have a nice collection of DLC. Even though it's primarily a 2 button game, it still manages to stay quite frantic as you figure out the best path to get the highest score. Very nice presentation through out and if you already own Rock Band 3, this is a steal as you can take the songs from this game into RB3 and vice versa.

Each XBLA game has a trial version you can download for free. It's basically a demo, and it's a great way to try out a game you're unsure of.

I would definitely start with Shadow Complex. My all-time favorite Xbox 360 game.

Oh man, had you connected it on monday you could've gotten Geometry Wars 2, Stacking and Limbo for $5, $5 and $7,50 respectively. Now they're back at $10, $15 and $15. I'd say buy a few games you want now and wait for other games to go on sale. Xbox live has some great games, but aside from periodic sales, they rarely drop in price.

Clash of Heroes, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Dead Rising 2: Case Zero, and Outland are all pretty great and I don't think they've been mentioned.

For XBLA indie games: Cthulhu Saves the World, Cursed Loot, Escape Goat, Miner Dig Deep, and Soul Caster 1 and 2. I believe they're all $1 each and they're all damn good.

Trails Evolution, Splosion Man and Castle Crashers are my most played.

Wish Square would release FF6 on Xbox Live or make a new SNES style FF game for PSN\XBL:
