You get the best of both worlds. Epic destruction (& ground deformation) as in Red Faction, as well as the deep tactical gameplay of a Socom title.
It's available for 19$ bucks at Walmart. Many active players might argue, that BF:BC is the best multiplayer online game on console, if you are into FPS.
If it has to be either Red Faction or Socom, this is my advise... Red Faction is pick-up-'n-play fun and Socom is 'invest-time-and-effort-to-enjoy-it' kind of game. Up to your taste I guess.
