Released a new game just now, so obligatory duder code drop!

Hey guys,

Just released another game, so as usual, I wanted to share some codes with my duders! This one released on PC, Xbox One and PS4, so below will be a bunch of different codes. Worth mentioning that you should check that the game is out in your region on the consoles, as these codes won't work until the game is live in your region, and unfortunately that differs on region to region.

@mrcraggle we actually started saying it was the Citizen Kane of Super Crate Box Clones, but some people didn't get the joke :P Funnily enough the developer had never played SCB and when I showed it to him, was immediately like "oh damn" lol.

I work for an indie publishing label as a producer, so I've been involved in over 10 launches. Each time we're learning a little more, and this is our second game on console so just learning about that whole process has been a massive undertaking.

My role in each game is different. For one game I wrote all of the non-mainline story narrative, for another i'm basically writing the entire script. On most I run the production side of things (middleman between the label and the developers to make sure everything is done on time, properly, budget etc). This one was one of our older games, so I wasn't super heavily involved in the production side until the end.

I love that the title of the game is still completely unknown to me as I didn't get a key and nobody has posted it. I guess duders either get it for free, or not at all.

I was also looking for the title.

Just a heads up, all the Xbox One codes are now used (I tried them all and it said all were redeemed already).

I checked for it on the PSN store, but it's not on there yet since it comes out tomorrow. (I think? Can't remember what made me think that. Was it mentioned here somewhere?)

It seems like all the Steam codes are used up. It's a shame at how few people had the courtesy to let OP (and others) which code they took, or even thank OP.

When code giveaway threads are made by developers, they can walk a fine line between generosity and self-promotion. @hellerphant: manages to avoid that issue by not actually posting the title of the game, which keeps the focus on generosity. Kind of a bummer, but also kind of necessary to avoid breaking forum rules.

Speaking of the game, after playing for a while, I thought I'd share some feedback. The only real criticism I have is not allowing the screen to be re-sized. About one-third to half of the health and energy display is off the top of my screen. That's not my TV either. In most games that allow screen re-sizing, I never have to touch the option. Something is just off here.

That small issue aside, the game is pretty fun. Unlocking new items has been quite enjoyable, and I especially like the pogo-stick and the chakram so far. As far as progress goes, I just unlocked the pistol as a starting weapon, and also just made it to the third galaxy. Looking through the list of unlockables gives me the impression that you've found a good way to put a lot of replayablity into a game with deceptively little content. I guess random levels and items will do that. I think I'll be playing this for a while, so thanks again for the code.

The voice acting in the intro is also surprisingly good for an indie game. The setup was a nice idea as well. The concept of playing as a defense robot, fighting off some sort of super mutant alien assault--and doing so while all the humans sleep helplessly in their cryochambers--is a fun premise.

Congrats on the launch! (though I'm a bit sad these code drops always happen when I can't redeem them haha)

@spaceinsomniac: We actually told him it was OK to just tell people the name of the game but I think he still feels weird about it. The difference is here it's not some random person trying to advertise their game, so no problems. If it was a brand new account that started a forum thread and wanted to give away keys to their new game, that would be deleted instantly and they would be referred to Rorie or something.
