If you have an iOS or Android device, there are apps that should already serve your purpose.

You can use the Chrome browser on iOS, OS X, Windows, or Android and send the video to a Chromecast.

Yeah, this is what I currently do with my Android phone, and it works great. Premium content, regular content, anything. You can also cast a PC Chrome browser tab and turn on full-screen in the video player (then alt-tab out) to accomplish the same thing.

I haven't tried it, but I just got an update notice that the Giant Bomb Video Buddy app had added Chromecast support. Good on that duder!

As others have mentioned, this should already be supported in device. Android and iOS support this from their native "video player" recognizing the format as "stream enabled" and giving the options. No additional coding required.
