Rich Gallup to Giant Bomb?

So if 38 Studios goes under does any one else think Rich Gallup might join the Giant Bomb team it would be great if he did I miss that guy and that time trotters episode just made me miss him even more, what do you guys think?

I doubt it, plus its kind of an ass thing to do to wish someone fails at their job so they can do something else.

Matt Rorie is not coming to Giant Bomb, Adam Sessler is not coming to Giant Bomb, Rich Gallup is not coming to Giant Bomb, Morgan Webb is probably coming to Giant Bomb.

Im sure everyone would love for that to happen but why think the worst of his current situation? I would rather he be successful at what he wants to be doing, not shoe horned back into what he used to do because the company he works for failed.

This happens every time someone losses their job, or is about to.

If Giant Bomb has the means to bring on additional people, they would have by now. Especially with the massive hirings/firings/leavings that have been going on in the last year.

I always thought the Bomb was missing a female touch. Not like a hot female, who is afraid of the internet, but like a nerdy female who snorts or somthing, I dont know. But I doubt a woman would want to put themselves out there as much as the GB'rs do.

He has been a producer of some sort for what? 3 or 4 years now? I imagine he would look for a similar gig rather than going back to hosting for internet sites. Besides, Ryan is the host now and good luck unseating him ;-)

I love Rich but I'd rather have CBSi pick up mr. Matthew Rorie. The fact that that guy was left out blows my mind.

I think it would be cool if he started showing up on GB, though I don't hope for 38 Studios to go under before their game is even out.

Even if (if -- a big, fat, not-in-the-least-likelyif) he did join up it would be in the east coast "office" with Alex (Hey: @Alex have you checked out your cubicle space yet? Unlikely, I suppose, since it's probably not pants optional...)... which almost certainly doesn't line up well with the talents that all of you would be looking for him to bring to the site.

Sure, why not. He's incredibly overqualified for the job (in terms of experience), and seems to have classed it up to point where he'd be bring the bomb squad down (self-esteem down, not filthiness down).

CBS did cancel Rob so it's quite possible Rob Schneider could be joining Giant Bomb.

I like how your criteria for a nerdy female is snorting. But, no, I understand what you meant. Careful what you wish for because the first thing that popped into mind was Leigh Alexander.

Also, this really is inevitable every time someone the guys know loses a job isn't it? Not that I know, but if someone moves on to the development side, maybe they don't want to go back to doing what they used to.

Isn't it more likely that he would move to another game development company in that case and not revert back to his old profession? Just sayin'.

I'm pretty sure he would be able to find another job in his field. Plus, I'm sure he isn't willing to leave the New England area unless he was dragged kicking and screaming.

No. Instead everybody is going to end up at Polygon eventually.

Part of me just wants to go out a buy a few more new copies of Amalur, but at this point I think that might not even help. I keep hearing the 400k sales number for that game but does that count Steam it seems like that game was number 2 on on there for awhile.
