Which September / October releases are you planning on purchasing / thinking about purchasing this year? Either brand new or on sale later.

Sorry if I missed anything!

For me I really want to play Gauntlet (where's the coverage?), Destiny, NHL, Evolve and AC. Curious about Evil Within, Mordor and Train Fever.

:D

Only Alien: Isolation from that list.

I have a bad feeling about The Evil Within :| so that's completely off my radar.

  • Dance Central Spotlight
  • Warriors Orochi 3: Ultimate/Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires
  • Destiny Digital Guardian Edition
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • The Walking Dead Season One GoTY
  • Assassin's Creed Unity
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Sunset Overdrive

Probably (minus) one..

  • Hyrule Warriors
  • Destiny

  • Destiny
  • Persona 4 Ultimax
  • The Evil Within
  • Alien: Isolation
  • GTA5 Remastered (if it hits in October which probably not)
  • Civilization: Beyond Earth (if it actually comes out, I've seen very little launch hype)
  • Pillars of Eternity (also probably won't make October)
  • Wasteland 2

Destiny almost certainly and Persona 4: Arena Ultimax most likely.

It's very unlikely I'll pick up anything else, as any money I have at that point will being going toward Dragon Age. I don't see much else I would care about anyway though.

Wwe maybe. I've been pretty disenfranchised with modern games right now.

#9 Edited by FriendlyPhoenix (419 posts) -
  • Danganronpa 2
  • Natural Doctrine
  • Theatrhythm Curtain Call
  • Hyrule Warriors
  • Massive Chalice(if it actually hits it's date and isn't early access if it does)
  • Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor
  • Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
  • Alien: Isolation
  • NHL 15
  • Driveclub
  • Raven's Cry(if it actually comes out and isn't terrible)
  • The Evil Within
  • F1 2014
  • Samurai Warriors 4
  • Civilization Beyond Earth
  • Assassin's Creed Unity(and the other one if that's actually a thing)
  • Lords of the Fallen
  • Bayonetta 2

I'm almost definitely not getting all of those at launch or even probably this year, but that's about all the games I'm interested in. I guess I should also have put Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 on there, but I won't have an Xbox One until next year so I left those out.

#10 Posted by TheHT (11300 posts) -

Destiny maybe, Shadow of Mordor definitely, Evolve possibly.

#11 Edited by Tonylope (194 posts) -

None, because I'm cheap and don't buy games as soon as they come out (usually I wait until they're severely reduced in price).

#12 Posted by ZGoon (272 posts) -

Nice to actually see what's coming. Now I know I only have to buy 4 games in that time frame.

#13 Posted by ArbitraryWater (11757 posts) -

To be honest? Not super excited about most of these games. Destiny is a possibility, as is The Evil Within and that Middle Earth game, but the only game from this timeframe that I am totally likely to get is Civ: Beyond Earth. Big budget stuff isn't really dazzling me right now I'm afraid.

I'm sorta surprised how many people are still onboard with Assassin's Creed. Black Flag was refreshing, but you'd think people would be tired of running around the rooftops of Renaissance Europe.

#15 Posted by Ben_H (3362 posts) -

Probably none, unless the new Stronghold is good, but given the track record of the Stronghold people over the last few iterations of it, I am more than a little skeptical. I don't have any of the new consoles, so that puts the kibosh on a lot of these titles.

Also probably the GTA V PC version, but I somehow doubt it will be out before 2015.

#16 Posted by Superkenon (1438 posts) -

You missed my games on purpose, didn't you. I see how it is.

  • Smash Bros. 3DS
  • Hyrule Warriors
  • Persona 4 Ultimax
#17 Posted by MightyDuck (1522 posts) -

NHL 15 for certain. I'm also pretty curious about Alien: Isolation.

I was all set to pick up Destiny, but after the beta, my interest in the game has waned.

#18 Posted by wrecks (2262 posts) -

Alien, Mordor & Dead Rising 3 (PC)

#19 Posted by Hone_McBone (146 posts) -

Going to be picking up the following on Steam, though probably not till the Christmas sales.

  • Shadow of Mordor
  • Alien Isolation
  • Evolve
  • Dead Rising 3
  • Evil Within

#20 Posted by Levius (1140 posts) -

I will almost definitely get AC. I will pick Mordor, Sunset Overdrive and maybe Alien if they show/review well. Otherwise it's the long hard wait for Far Cry 4.

oh man I fucked up pretty bad... sorry, my list is kind of racist.. :( partially the fault of how the release dates show up though! Next time I will click through. Missed more than expected... Didn't realize so many indie games just don't have dates here.

I'm surprised at myself. I didn't even really like Black Flag that much but I'm up for Unity. I guess my reasons are 1) *look at all those people!* 2) it looks pretty nice 3) running diagonally and down walls 4) CROUCH BUTTON

gotta go with shadow of mordor. probably evolve too if i can find some friends by then

#23 Edited by GunstarRed (5194 posts) -

Theatrhythm, Bayonetta, The Evil Within and probably Hyrule Warriors. There is also a pretty high chance that I'll get Evolve.

I'm sure i will be harassed into buying Assassins Creed and Call of Duty by their advertising.

#24 Posted by nomaxfa (5 posts) -

Man, actually seeing a release list i realize that none of these games really jump out at me . I guess Shadow of Mordor maybe? I heard people talking positive about it, and it sounded like it might be something i enjoy, but i have no real sense of where it's actually headed. Other than that, maybe Evolve? But i heard somewhere that they plan to make it super DLC heavy, so that's got a very big maybe next to it as well.

#25 Posted by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

Destiny, AC:U and maybe that shadows of mordor game (i'll wait for reviews and such, if its short ill skip it)

#26 Posted by TheManWithNoPlan (5529 posts) -

I'd like to get Destiny, Shadow of Modor, Unity and Isolation, but realistically I'll maybe get one of them given I'm strapped for cash. Black Friday is really going to be an early gaming Christmas for me.

#27 Posted by GaspoweR (3055 posts) -

Out of all of them, AC:U and EVOLVE are almost a lock for me.

#28 Posted by tp0p (78 posts) -

Bayonetta 2 if it launches in october.

#29 Edited by SMTDante89 (2581 posts) -

Destiny and Disney Infinity 2.0 are definites, as is Persona 4 Arena Ultimax if it comes out in September or October (but if it plans to hit shelves in the Fall, I guess it would have to)

Games I plan to pick up, but possibly not Day 1 (depending on my money situation) are Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS, Samurai Warriors 4 (PS4), Hyrule Warriors, and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate (PS4)

Edit: Also include Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel to the second list. I want it, but this time around I'll likely wait for a GOTY Edition (or whatever they may call it that includes almost everything DLC-wise in one package)

#30 Posted by SunBroZak (1119 posts) -

For once I feel like doing the sensible thing and not being too hasty with my purchases. There's a lot of unpredictable games coming out this fall. I'm most interested in Evolve, but I'm not a big co-op player, so it might not be the game for me.

#31 Posted by syz (252 posts) -

Destiny, Smash 3DS, Persona Ultimax.

#32 Posted by Kain55 (129 posts) -

Destiny is a day one buy for me. Otherwise I might pick up Shadows of Mordor if the quick look for it ends up looking good, and Forza Horizon was amazing so I'll definitely have to pick that up at some point. I want to play Fantasia, but I don't think the Kinect will work well enough in my tiny apartment so that may be a pass for a bit.

#33 Posted by Beerbaron17 (4 posts) -

Way too many for sure! Destiny, Diablo 3 UEE, Shadows of Mordor, Alien, and Assassin's Creed. My wallet and wife are not gonna be happy.

#34 Edited by bluefish (469 posts) -

basically Far Cry 4.

I know it doesn't have a date yet but it's the only certainty in my purchasing schedule.

EDIT: I will be hard pressed to not buy a WiiU when Bayonetta 2 comes out as well. :(

#35 Posted by SgtSphynx (1395 posts) -

Considering I have no money, none at the moment, but I do see myself eventually purchasing Driveclub and Forza Horizon 2.

#36 Posted by Shindig (402 posts) -
  • Forza Horizon 2
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2015... if it hits.

Because FIFA is stagnant and my 360 would like to have a reason to boot up. Not fussed about Destiny.

#37 Posted by Fyrtail (15 posts) -

I'll probably buy Bayonetta 2.

I don't own a Wii U.

#38 Edited by Lukeweizer (2687 posts) -

I'm curious about Lords of the Fallen. Definitely waiting to hear some release opinions though.

#39 Posted by Capum15 (4903 posts) -

I chose none but now that I think about it, possibly Shadow of Mordor. Depends on how I feel about it after videos start coming out. Too bad Destiny isn't PC as well.

#40 Posted by rachelepithet (1391 posts) -

This feels like the year when everyone gave up and surrendered the Holiday season to the games that come out every year, Call of Duty and Assassin' s Creed. But even those games are disappearing like the kids at the end of The Sandlot. No more Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, Battlefield, Medal of Honor, Need For Speed, NCAA.

#41 Edited by CorruptedEvil (3414 posts) -

Destiny I am SUPER HYPED FOR. Give it to me.

I've been thinking about getting Marvel Infinity but I won't until Star Lord and Fake Nova (who I will pretend is Real Nova) are released.

Shadow of Mordor maybe, will wait for reviews. I have no love for LotR but apparently it was really great at E3.

Driveclub I'll just get with PS+.

WWE2K15 I'm getting mainly to play with Wrestling Thread guys and make shitty CAWs of characters I like that no one else cares about.

AC: Unity looks like dumb fun, which I'm all for.

You missed Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2 btw.

#42 Posted by coaxmetal (1620 posts) -

I looked over the list and... actually none of them. But I will be buying Bayonetta 2 which was not on the list.

#43 Posted by Maddman60620 (133 posts) -

SENRAN KAGURA SHINOVI VERSUS was missing, that game looks to crazy to pass up....

#44 Posted by awesomeusername (4187 posts) -
  • Alien: Isolation - If it turns out good
  • Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor - If it turns out good
  • Driveclub - If I like what I play of the free PS+ version, I'll get it
  • Assassin's Creed: Unity - dat parkour
  • Lots of indies
