Should Call of Duty games have a cover system? If so which games, or if so all of them?

There wasn't cover in WWII.

Plus, no. Really, contextual cover slows down the action in a game like that and it works better as a plain shooter. It would slow the pace down. Technically it does have something cover I guess. Works pretty well for me.

That would make it to "hard" for all the little kids played CoD games.

Hell no.  They are for one being over used right now for one and two, like said, it innately slows downs down the game to the ultra max because everyone used cover now because it is there and it works so everyone uses it.

No, I don't mind the no cover-feature option. I actually kind of like it.

No.  Very much NOT like this, please.

Listen, Call of Duty is designed to play without a "press-your-back-against-nearest-wall" cover system, and I think the crouch, prone, standing position, combined with the sprint feature, makes the series play uniquely enough as it is.  There's no need to tamper with a system that has proven itself fluid.

That's a terrible example. That's like saying "I hate FPS without cover, look at Haze". A single game that implements a feature badly does not break the feature.

I like that the COD games don't have a cover system. In my opinion it slows down the action.

I would probably also say no, because I think that is what makes the COD games so great is that the gameplay is unrealistic in the sense of how you move about the battlefield.

Yes, they are trying to make an ultra-realistic shooter, and they're doing good other than not having cover.

While I love BiA, which uses a cover system, I also like having to crouch and etc for cover in Call of Duty. It's more realistic that way.

It does have a cover - it's called running away and hiding.

Cover systems never work in first person. They're kind of like jumping in a sense becausenot being able to see the rest of the body means it could look like you're covered when you're absolutely not.

All FPS's should have a cover system, if implemented properly. But if they can't do it right, don't put it in.

Ummm...bullet penetration makes cover pointless...so there's no point in cover systems?

CoD has realistic bullet penetration - cover is almost as pointless as it is in reality the only advantage cover really provides is that you can't be seen
