Should Danny O'Dwyer become a GiantBomb member

You know how we have an informal rule against asking about Endurance Runs? Can we extend that to asking that certain people join the staff?

I think he's doing interesting things for Gamespot and I wouldn't want that to stop. He should totally guest star on the podcast sometime when a regular is out though.

No, we get occasional Danny and he doesn't eat into the Giant Bomb new hire budget. Quick Looks, podcasts, live shows, he's doing it all (for free!!)

It's amazing to me how many people think it would make good business sense for:

1. Giant Bomb to blow all of their budget they've been working for years on building on a guy who's across the hallway and shows up regularly anyway.
2. CBSi to move the (pretty much) face of GameSpot (a much bigger site than Giant Bomb, I might add) over to Giant Bomb after moving him in from Ireland to be the host of multiple GameSpot shows.
3. Danny O'Dwyer to probably take a paycut to do the same exact job in the same exact building.

Danny is already a Giant Bomb Member, not sure if he's a Subscriber though and he's certainly not becoming Staff.

Yes because he's awesome but it will obviously never happen and he's showing up often enough anyway that it really doesn't matter all that much which site he's officially a part of.

How about just Danny O'Dwyer and Jeff Green? There should at least be a little variety in who we complain about GB not hiring.

Should Giant Bomb hire John Vignocchi?

I think the real question is who should Alex start harassing to join him on things out in New York, GB:C is getting too powerful with CoH and Iron Galaxy backing.

Yeah, while i like danny alot, it just doesn't make sense. He's already pretty much an honorable giantbomb guy anyways.

No, though I sincerely hope that whoever Jeff decides to hire is as good and fits in as well as Danny does.

Christ almighty, enough of this. He works for gamespot and is an essential part of their team. It would make no sense. And hasn't there been about 500 of these threads? I love Danny, but this is getting a tad needy.

The last time someone became a Giant Bomb member, the community bitched about it for an entire year. Those were dark, dark times. I'm afraid that will happen again.

Now that you mention it, where the fuck is the next Endurance Run? I'm watching the P4 run again while I NG+ P4G, but would love a new one. Ugh. Woe is me.

He's not part of the staff, but I believe he already has a membership here and sometimes posts in the forums or makes some of his own.

I say go the other way, have Giant Bomb become a member of Danny O'Dwyer.

It would be cool but it is unlikely that it would happen. It seems that he is the face of Game Spot at the moment.

I think we've already pretty thoroughly covered this subject. Unless you have a new angle on the coversation, maybe don't bother making a new thread about it.
