Should "Female Gamer" count as a Concept?

The reason I ask this is because I submitted it and it got rejected.  Personally, although their numbers are increasing, I still kinda believe that the "Female Gamer" is still somewhat of a concept in most of our minds.  What do you think?

No...they are not a concept. They are very much a reality and they are awesome (for the most part).

If "Female Gamers" is a concept, that means it only applies to some games, not all (say, add the concept to Cooking Mama, but not Gears of War)... and if that is the case, that's saying girls only play certain kinds of games. That's just plain wrong.

I can imagine the blurb now.

Female gamers are usually of the female gender and play video games, hence the term "female gamers".

In other words, it wouldn't make sense to make a concept just because of age, race, or gender.

If you can think of games where Female Gamers are a subject matter or plot device, etc - then sure. Otherwise, no.

I actually know alot of female gamers IRL.
They just don't talk online when they play because if you've ever noticed on XBL, when a girl's voice chimes in everyone goes f*ing nuts like they've never heard a females voice before.

The forum for it woudl be filled with Wii Friend codes and PSN ID and XBL  tags requests, and ZERo responses.

I'm not quite sure how that page could work for it seems much too subject to opinion than fact. For instance, I play Team Fortress 2. Should that have the concept Female Gamer?

Black Gamers? Thats just stupid. He means FEMALE gamers because they are the minority of which are starting to grow. They usually say 'casual gamers and female gamers'...
