Yes, why? They already said yes. What is this shit?

#2 Posted by Kidable (127 posts) -

Pretty sure the chat isn't just something they can just leave up, as they've mentioned before. Well for now anyway, they're working on a better system.

Nah.

#4 Posted by DrSwank (442 posts) -

@kidable: what would happen if they left it up? too much strain on the server?

#5 Posted by DrSwank (442 posts) -

They already said yes? The chat isn't live right now... when did they say they're starting it?

Oh. Oh well. Do an all nighter?. Mm. Whatever. Its like: Would tonight be more taxing than during E3?. Both kill server babies.

my thoughts exactly. just thought it would be kind of fun to have an interactive build up.

@drewmaw: Well I'm all for killing server babies. But do YOU wanna have that on your conscience?

I mean actually.. Well they did that all night Halo Marathon. You're right. Let's play some Halo.

I still don't understand why Microsoft is doing the show in the middle of the day. Don't they want this to be an event? Wouldn't they try to get a primetime slot for it?

Maybe so it's easier for Europe to follow as well? It's on 7 PM where I live, so that is the case in most of Europe. They probably could've pushed it a few hours, but it would be my guess.

All night long, baby, all night.

#12 Posted by LibrorumProhibitorum (346 posts) -

That sounds like fun.

Aside from needless server load, there's also the fact that someone has to be there to police the chat. Who knows what sort of illicit stuff might go on in a chat room without the ever present gaze of staff and moderators.

@chaser324: Its a summer jam. A sleepover, you might say.

That sounds so good..

nope. We can wait till tomorrow plus who's gonna mod the chat all night long?

Also, I caution you guys against getting overly-hyped for this event. There's a pretty decent chance that MS is going to be holding back a lot for E3.

It's a really weird fetish the staff is into.

Being hyped about events is fun, even if they aren't particularly interesting.

Also, yes.

Being hyped is more fun than any event can be.

Wanting something is almost always better than having it.

Agreed - though when an event goes well, it can all be 100% worth it.

Eg. FFXIII reveal, GTAIV reveal, etc.

#33 Posted by benpicko (2005 posts) -

It should be open now, yes.

I have low expectations for the Microsoft event but high expectations for the Giantbomb stream of the Microsoft event.

Get hype!
