Should Jeff be fired?

I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed this, lately whenever I hear Jeff commenting something or doing a quicklook I want to stop watching the video.

His whole approach to any game now seems completely jaded, disinterested, lazy, by the book, sterile, not seeing the forest for the trees thing. The entirety of his added value now is nothing but a predictable redundant burden.

Just take a look at his latest Ghost Recon: Future Soldier quicklook, it's been like that for quite a while now.

It's nothing personal but I think he's been in the gaming industry for too long.

I detest trolling. I think that whole sub culture of self entitled 4-channers is a shining beacon in the case for humanity to go extinct. Like if aliens were to come down and we'd be like "we have Ghandi and poetry" and the aliens would be like '4-chan/trolling" and I'd be like "Fair point I welcome our extermination." But, I have come to terms with it. Trolling is just a part of the internet now, I get it. All I ask is at least be original or put some effort into being a dick. Don't we on the receiving end deserve at least that much?

Yes, Jeff should be fired for his lack of interest in games he is not very interested in. You'd make a great company executive! I say Zol for president! That's what you're doing this for right? To beat Jeff in the election?

It's not about his views differing from mine but his whole attitude when talking about any game.

I agree that he's not the best journalist out there. As much as I don't like him, I think firing him would be too far. Either they should give him quicklooks that he's more interested in or maybe he shouldn't be doing any videos. Maybe he reached that mid-life crisis point.

Yes, if not fired give him textual reviews to do. It is easy to circumvent his lousy attitude that way.

I don't think he should be fired but I do agree that he is a negative dude when it comes to most video games. I don't think he should be reviewing games but it doesn't really matter to me anyways.

@Zol: Tough shit. I came to this site because I was following Jeff, and this site wouldn't exist without him. If he wants to be negative about some games so be it, you can go to any other game site if it bothers you that much. Maybe if you were a subscriber I could understand, but only maybe.

I can sum up Zol in one uninventive word: sterile.

You can't really ignore him if you want to. I would do that if he was the only one doing a quicklook and I saw his name in the description but many times he is given highly anticipated games and is with another person who is far more agreeable, like Brad, Vinnie or Patrick.

It would really be best if he would not do video-type things where you can hear his voice at all. At least not until he fixes his lousy attitude.
