Perhaps try entering it through xbox.com via Profile -> My Account -> Redeem Code. If I remember right, 0's can definitely look like O's.

some dick could have been randomly guessing codes to get some free points, and happened to guess your code, making your card invalid

Is there something they have to do at the store you bought it at to make it "work"? Like, you couldn't just steal those things and have them work I don't think, otherwise they would be locked up since they're so small. I was always under the assumption they had to be activated at checkout in some way, but personally I've never bought one so maybe I'm completely uninformed.

This is why I use my debit card...though that also makes it way too easy to add points.

dont they have to be activated at a store so you can then enter the code. it was like that with itunes cards i believe

This kind of stuff is terrible. I was pissed when my Gears of War 2 golden lancer code failed but this would have my blood boiling through my skin.

use can use debit cards. i thought it was only credit cards?? of debit cards ill link mine right now
