So apparently MS's E3 conference will have some games

Ever since E3 2010, MS has focused on movies, tv, music and other things rather then games at their press conferences. I'm willing to almost everyone has been dreading more of that this year. Especially after the extremely boring 2011 conference. And while they will obviously continue to talk about that stuff and kinect, apparently they're going to have some game announcements too.

On Geoff Keighley's twitter he said tyhat MS's conference will have new game announcements from

• Capcom
• EA
• Harmonix
• Square-Enix
• THQ
• Ubisoft

...And more. Now hopefully it isn't all bad kinect games. I gotta say, a month ago I wasn't really excited about E3 this year, all things considered it looked to be lackluster. But with this, a new Star Wars franchise, the possibility of a BG&E2 reveal, I'm getting pumped. And I cannot wait for The Last of Us gameplay.

I bet 10 Brad Bucks that their press conference is still mad boring, and still mostly about non-game stuff.

@upwarDBound: That sounds pretty great to me, I'll blame you for my disappointment when/if they aren;t there.

I might have to skip the Internet for a few days beforehand. It'd be nice to avoid leaks this year and be genuinely surprised for once.

I think if this did happen everyone who cares about the game would just be happy that there is any information about this game. As of right now it seems like it's never going to come out. How can you not show anything new after this long? It's insanity.

Dude... I completely agree, Japanese devs need to know to stop telling people games they are making until they are a year away! At least then, we can wait! This is almost Half Life 3 levels of bad in terms of how long we have waited.

Also... they really need to stop making engines just for a SINGLE FUCKING VIDEO GAME... I mean, WTF!? Why spend endless dollars to make a engine just for one game like they have been doing for the FF series!? WHY!?

Square is probably going to show off True Crime or Tomb raider but if they show off Final Fantasy Versus XIII... my mind would be blown, even if it's a trailer.

Harmonix might show off some new IP that's super casual and appeal to the hardcore and use something new like some dumb social network thing.

Capcom it's gonna be RE6, that would fit in perfectly where Call of Duty or Gears of War would be at

Don't really care about MS this year. Sure seeing RE6 and Halo 4 will be cool....but, seriously, Sony, my baby girl, you're all I care about.

I find all the press conferences incredibly boring. It's just companies talking about how great they are for an hour with some games sprinkled in between. I'll watch the trailers after the fact.

well sounds good if they are announcing games. i just hope they're aren't just kinect games. be ready for kids playing the games.

• Square-Enix - hopefully ffvs13 but my bradbucks goes too the new rpg they have been making

Square Enix will not mention any Final Fantasy game during the press conference. It will be Tomb Raider and the journalists will go on to say how they felt uncomfortable hearing Lara in pain.

Well, as long as robot children FIST-bump each other at the end of pretending to fly through disneyland, I will be content with Microsoft's offering.

My greatest hope is that the Square Enix thing is actually Just Cause 3

I really am finding it hard to understand to be honest.

Sony wont have a console, just launched Vita and cant show off a new on yet, just not ready. They will show of games and go "NEW METAL GEAR" or some shock to yet another sequal you thought was done. I think it will be fairly week showing for Sony.

Nintendo will have WII U to show off, love it or hate it, it will be there in force.

A lot of 3rd party Mutli Console stuff will be cool, the new GTA for example. I think some long awaited and leaked/rumoured games will be shown of which will be nice but a lot of games are delayed till next year so even if you see them, LOOOONG wait.

Then you have Microsoft. I think Kinnect in its current form with games is on that down slope like the wii now, Most of the games they will show off have been at least revealed, get to see some game play... And what else?

To at least reveal the new Xbox would be the time to do so in my eyes otherwise it will be another Meh year for MS which can they really afford to do? Just when you look at the games this year, next year, how things are doing, price cuts on the machines.... If they do not at least show something off I would be suprised. I mean Wii U shown off last year, not out yet - Fair enough, was a bit early, but a new years launch, summer US launch 2013 or at least a Nintendo and have an E3 of games nearly ready to go next year and a reveal this year?

I just think if they show off games this Year MS will have a bit of a downslope on sales etc. Another Xbox live revision for example wont be much of anything, more apps for it wont be much of anything either.

Halo 4 will probably be there. The Black Ops 2 demo will most likely be shown at the MS conference too. That is two big games, that sell big time to a large audience.

It would be so awesome if Just Cause 3 is announced.

Hopefully they focus less on the Kinect this year, they have sold a lot of them, but it isn't the people who are watching the E3 Press Conferences that are buying and playing with their Kinect.

Brute Force 2 reveal....this confusing and totally random reveal will make it to the front page of every video game website just watch....

Ubisoft will show a Kinect game that utilizes Mr. Caffeine's time travel powers.

Whatever these companies show, I bet Microsoft has some exclusive DLC deals with them, as always.

I'm curious to see if this is the year they introduce a controller for Kinect. That would make porting Raving Rabbid games from Ubisoft easier. Hey, there's one I bet they announce.

Microsoft do the most boring press conferences. Almost certain it'll be Kinect, Kinect, Kinect!

bear in mind that my guess is based on the fact that he said new game announcements and say what you will about the VMA's when he promised big game announcements we got big game announcements.

I always look foreword to the Nintendo conference because either it is awesome and exciting or it's a oh god what the hell are they doing?! And since I play my PS3 almost exclusively compared to my 360, I pay more attention that one as well. But with the E3 podcasts I'll just let the crew tell me what's up then check out games that they are excited for.

No surprises in that list. Wake me up when something interesting happens.

Square usually saves their Final Fantasy/ Kingdom Hearts stuff for their own presentation every january , so I don't think we're gonna see Versus XIII it will most likely be Just Cause 3 , wich sucks is not that E3 isn't as exciting anymore is the internet leaking everything 2 days before.

The biggest publishers are announcing games at E3? No fucking way!
