Yeah thats weird, I doubt that anyone will buy those shirts from the site.....  Especially if theyre already looking for Giant Bomb merch

Who wants a Shirt with GameFaqs written on it?

Is that site more than just a walkthrough site now?

Those designs are pretty shit as well.

I didn't know people were way into websites about game walkthroughs. I don't have conversations with my friends about how fucking awesome it is. It's a tool. This is like having the manual to home appliance on a T-Shirt.

Maybe you assholes just need to look up a walkthrough on fashion.

Also yeah... this seems weird.

I dunno, Gamefaqs has been a go-to site for so many people over the years.  More people would recognize that than Giant Bomb.  If you're into web site shirts, you could do worse.

meh, who cares

Who cares really, the design are boring and probably won't sell, not like they are mixed in with the GB merch.

Okay, GameFAQs message boards might be shit, but damn if that isn't one of my favorite gaming websites of all time. That and GameSpot were pretty much the only gaming sites I visited in the early 2000's. Back when games were actually hard and confusing, I needed that website. Now, walkthroughs and stuff like that are kinda worthless.

It's almost like they are both owned by the same company or something.

They were looking to make some shirts and we already have a pipeline set up for selling and delivering that stuff so we set them up on our store. I guess some of the designs won a user-voting contest?

Jeff is it true that you still troll the exclusive LUE boards even though they don't exist anymore?

#13 Posted by Dagbiker (6358 posts) - 4 months, 14 days ago

First...

Gamefaqs logo is horrible I know why it looks horrible because back in 1996, all website logos looked horrible Also it looks like the designer was trying to pick a font that invokes videogames or computers. And perhaps it did at one time, but now it just looks trashy like a relic from an era gone by.

Also... Gamefaqs has memes?

Holy shit the GLHB shirts are back. I should jump on one of those before they leave again.

Edit: Fuck only in 3X Large.

@Jeff: Any chance those shirts will ever come back or are they really gone for good? :(

Why aren't all the shirts in ASCII?

#16 Posted by TooWalrus (11800 posts) - 4 months, 14 days ago

Doesn't bug me. They're a family of websites, and it's not hurting anything. Anyone savvy enough to visit store.giantbomb.com isn't going to be confused by a gamefaq's shirt in the store.

#17 Posted by peachesrcool (64 posts) - 4 months, 13 days ago

man I've been using gamefaqs for as long as I can remember, I'd be happy to buy a shirt from the giantbomb store with gamefaqs on it.

Also it was probably super easy for gfaqs to put the shirts there, rather than make their own thing.

Actually all shirts should just be a wall of text describing who has the rights to wear the shirt and where they are allowed to wear it.

#19 Posted by The_Reflection (178 posts) - 4 months, 13 days ago

i couldn't be paid enough to wear any of that shit

GameFAQs is the best. They're the modern equivalent of calling the support line for $2.99 a minute.

Seriously, they host .txt files for random kids with too much time!

New day, new thing to get fed up about. Lovely.

So? Just don't buy it and move on with your lives...or buy it. I don't care.

Oh my gosh this site that's a part of CBSi is putting shirts up from another CBSi site in a different section of the store this makes me so mad seriously whoooooo caresssssss

It's like they're trying to make a profit or something, my god.

Hopefully the one that says "GAMEFAQS" on it.

As opposed to hosting a wiki site for random kids with too much time? I'm not much of a Gamefaqs fan, but come the fuck on.

Polygon should open up a store that just redirects to extremerestraints.com. Just an ingenious thought.

Both the Zelda one and the controller one are user designed, the Zelda one was picked by GFAQs staff and the controller one won the user vote.
