Personally, I'm cool with it.
I honestly hope it means a new podcast from that team, and maybe some more Vinny suited content like Random PC Game. But change can be good.

@geraltitude: On the bright side, Bradcasts!
All around excited, but sad to lose the vinnyCasts, so I too really hope there is some kind of GBNY podcast. Also a bummer that the ultimate tricaster master is no longer with the main crew, but we need more Vinny in front of, rather than behind the camera.
The other major bummer is that the Les Canadiens have lost V-Bomb.
I'm pretty bummed about it actually. It's definitely the best thing for him and it could even end up being the best thing for the site but I just don't want to see a UPF without Vinny anymore :(
@mancombseepgood: THAT is the biggest bummer to me as well my friend.
Happy for him and his family. But sad that the Vinny Jeff Quick Looks aren't going to happen as often.
I'm tentatively optimistic. It's natural to feel uneasy when so many things are changing, but I trust those guys to figure things out.
I think a lot of people still want those old days of four dudes in a basement and the site has never truly lost that feeling.
But since then the site has grown and gone through a lot. With new, grander resources, this site is now a major player and needs to expand and adapt. Their ideas from the beginning, like Quick Looks and live shows, are now common around many video game sites. Having new bases of operation, each filled with talented individuals, gives this site something most other gaming websites can't/don't have.
I'm thrilled that Vinny will be in a place where he, and his family, will be happier. As for the site perspective, new changes mean new opportunities. When Patrick left for Chicago, the morning show was invented. Out of unexpected changes can easily come new and exciting pieces of content.
It sucks we won't have exactly the same content we're all used to. But I'm excited about what could come of all this. And I'm excited to see the bomb squad excited out of these changes as well. I think it's all good all around.
I think Bombcast prime will be just fine. Bringing Drew up from the minors has been a big success in my book and we may end up getting two podcasts out of the deal. I'll miss Vinny being in the same room with the rest of the original crew though.
There are 1400+ comments in Vinny's article already, most of them about how people feel regarding the move. Having another topic about it is counterproductive.
