So I think the copy of Diablo II I bought is pirated...

I bought it sealed at a thrift store for $3 and it works fine (except for the part where there's no CD key) but I think it's a pirated copy. I've never seen a Diablo II disc before but I assume they don't look burned and I thought it was a 2 disc game, not 3.

It's too bad that you didn't get a key. Now days, you just enter the key on the website, and download the game to the PC, no disc required. I've got the battle chest and I've never touched the discs. Still, 3 bucks to play diablo isn't a bad deal, even if you've got to use the CD.

I bought it on sale for $20, and it's got Diablo 2 and it's expansion, that you can log into battle.net and download it anywhere, I'd say it's worth it.

Yeah thats a burned and pirated copy.

It is a 3 disc game: one's the Play disc, one's the install disc, and one's the movies disc. BUT, that is definitely a pirated disc you have.

all mine are black with red print, except the LoD Disk, which has a sort of brownish orange print around the word Diablo II.  Then it has the rating and version number of the game that is on the disk.

My copy of Quake II for the PlayStation doesn't have that black-tint that PlayStation discs normally have. And yet it's a totally legit Sony copy. What's up with that?

yes they are legit the keys work (if a key dose not work they just send you a new one) i belive they buy damages goods in bulk etc

lol. That reminds me. There was a $.99 store That I went to years ago that had similar looking discs, if I recall correctly.
