So, what are your thoughts about the Giant Bomb awards?

Now that we've seen all the categories and nominations of the GB awards, what are your thoughts? Was there any missing categories or games that you feel should've been included? Were you surprised by some of the categories (cough..Soulja Boy Award..cough)? What is your impression about the awards as a whole?

I like all the categories they have and the nominees they chose for the most part. But I think they should have added some game footage to the videos to make them a little more entertaining.

I like what I've seen and it looks like they have put in a lot of time and effort into the whole shindig. I love the end of the explosions video.

I thought there was a nice mix of real and fake awards which fits nicely into what GiantBomb is.

Burnout Paradise being nominated for Game of the Year makes me smile.

I think the awards, style and sense of humor fit the GB method perfectly. I am looking forward to see what wins the more serious awards, but the novelty ones have me intrigued as well.

Only thing I don't agree with it Spore not being in the dissapointing games award, but hey, nobodys perfect.

The vids weren't as funny as i was expecting but the awards are all pretty satisfying so far as i can tell.

I think in the end, if I had to level out any criticism, the awards and categories were perhaps a little too extensive. I mean, that was a lot of video to catch up on.
On the whole, it was cool and I suppose my main gripe is that it all came out in one day rather than over a few days. If they had released some noms today, some tomorrow, etc, it would have felt more fleshed out than overdone.
But that's just me.

I think there was a mild amount of snubbery that should be addressed.

• Mega Man 9 not nominated for Best Classic Revival is a travesty... mankind will not stand for this.
• World of Goo snubbed for Best "Games as Art" Game and Best Downloadable Game... a bigger travesty.
• Super Smash Bros. Brawl and/or No More Heroes should've made the Game of the Year list.

Solid effort, well done to the Giant Bomb crew for a dope set of vids.

I think they're done great, and I love the just funny pointless awards too. I do however think The Force Unleashed should of been in the "Most Disappointing Games" category, other than that , a great job.

I like the categories.  The videos were good too, however, I think the last 5 videos were the best because of the changing backgrounds that corresponded to the game they were talking about.

I think everything was fine, and I had a good laugh with those vids! 

I was a bit shocked to see Burnout Paradise up for Best Graphics instead of Far Cry 2. That's a tad....weird.

I just would have liked there to be game footage in the videos but other than that... I think they did a good job. Looking forward to seeing what wins.
