I should be getting my version of ultimate and home premium delivered today. according to the tracking
So who's getting/got Windows 7 today?
I've had a copy of pro for about a month or so now and its great. (I'm part of MSDNAA so no I did not pirate it).
I downloaded W7 a few weeks ago, but deleted it almost instantly. Every time i wanted to watch a video, it gave me blue screen.
I installed Ultimate Upgrade on my desktop PC's earlier, I'm really liking it, it's my first experience of it and I'm mighty impressed to be perfectly honest.
I have yet to install it on my HP Pavilion TX500z..
I'm getting mine in a few weeks when I get my new laptop. Havn't decided which version to go with but most likely I'll just go with the most basic one.
" Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! No. "
I plan on installing the RC version in VMware & testing my XP-based software with it first to make sure it still works. I won't rebuild my PC until I know for certain that all or most of my existing software (such as Acronis True Image, etc) will work on Windows 7. Otherwise, I need to wait for the 3rd party vendors to come out with a release that supports Windows 7 before I can move forward.
if someone is home to sign for the package i'll have it today; paid 100 for the upgrade to Pro. No issues with Vista64 bit but might as well move on and it gives me a reason to do a fresh install. lol.

Students get it for $30 (non pre-order)!

But seriously, Pro x64 is pretty awesome, waaayyy better than Vista. Although part of that is probably the fact that my crappy budget laptop didn't actually meet the minimum requirements for Vista. -_-
Yes, that's the win741 one I was talking about. Although I'm not a student, but I still have access to my edu address." @Kamasama said:

Why would you get Vista instead?" Windows 7 doesn't really interest me. (i still have XP) if i ever plan to upgrade, i will get Vista. "

Nice.
Been just told yesterday that my job is going to get me a new computer since the one I am on sucks balls. They said there waiting for Windows 7 before they buy it, which I'm told is Friday.... So it will be cool to see how good windows 7 is, but in all truth being a graphic designer it could never beat Max OS X.
