So yeah, Patrick is a pretty goddamn good news guy

I dunno know about all of you, but have you seen the pure amount of detail and insiderness that the news has had since he started? The quality of it all has gone up like night turning into day. No offence to Brad Nicholson or anyone else posting news, but before it seemed like just reposting things coming in on the wire, not actually reporting on it themselves (admittedly, they all had other content to worry about first.)

Anyway, if you see this Patrick, good work and glad you are here.

Yup, dude knows what he's doing. Giantbomb is pretty much my one-stop for everything now that Patrick is on board with news.

And to think some people were freaking out when they heard he was joining the team

Seeing as how Brad nicholson was never on the bombcast (to my memory) it seems he was just more hired guns worker on contract while Patrick is an actual full time member.

I'm glad to see the addition to GB overall too, covering the news will bring new eyes to the website especially when the stories are linked out on other sites like Joystik or Kotaku.

Patrick is pretty cool, you know.

I'm really liking Patrick so far, the news section is really looking better now,  I like him on the Bombcast too. Now hire Jeff Greene and Johnny V and i will explode in a mass of happy particles

It's crazy to look at his twitter. He's actually like... looking into stuff instead of just waiting for people to call him.

Patrick is an excellent addition to the Giant Bomb crew. I admit I was a little skeptical at first. I questioned whether there could be a fifth Beatle, but his news stories are quality and his presence on the podcast is great.

He's great, natural fit.

I've been a fan of Patrick's for about a year, I remember seeing him on X-Play's Feedback video podcast and really enjoying what he had to say. Eventually he left to join EGM and when I heard he was leaving them I thought "Well, maybe he'll drop by the Bombcast for a show or two" but instead he's joined the Giant Bomb crew and I couldn't be happier! He's given me even less of a reason to ever look at any other gaming outlets other than Giant Bomb. 

Guys a great news writer. I'm actually turning to GiantBomb for my gaming news now instead of just for funny videos. Hope he can keep it up and sticks around for a good while.

That is also the reason I want him as a Bombcast regular.

Klepek is awesome. He's an incredible investigative journalist with friends / sources in many development studios. He's the one who broke the whole Infinity Ward vs. Activision debacle to the public and in that story dude was a pit-bull with the getting new info. He's been in the gaming journalism forever and his opinions are extremely well thought out. 

Only know him through GB but since he is full time of course his news stories are going to be better than part time Brad and Alex.

I had my doubts but he's superb

I am not sure about Brad or his past, but this has been Patricks jam for awhile.

Agreed, news features are another thing I look forward to on the site now.

Patrick has been doing a awesome job.   Also I'm still disappointed  Nicholson is still writing for GB (and by writing I mean reads a story on kotaku.... waits a few days THEN writes it for giantbomb) 

I keep thinking that I've gone to the wrong site when I see the front page all filled with articles and stuff. 

Didn't know about Patrick joining GB 'cause I wasn't using the internet around the time. When I came back I was pleasantly surprised to find that GB had so much good news on it. So yeah, not that I hate Brad or anything, but I'm actually looking forward to more news on GB now.

I love the titles he gives. It draws my attention to news I would normally not care about. He's a great writer.

I completely agree with the OP.

I have to agree. Patrick has done a great job, he does actual journalism in gaming, calling companies getting followups, writing reports. A lot of other sites can benefit from that type of work. Brad  N icholson is also doing a great job. I feel like he's stepped up his game as of late. Thanks Patrick!

Patrick is doing awesome.  I had no idea who he even was before they hired him, but he's been working his ass off and doing quality work since he started.  It's great.

Patrick has been a machine.  I had no idea who he was before he joined up but I'm glad he's here now.
