Yeah, I know this is an odd question to ask here...
Can anyone think of a software product or game that sold really well in the US, but tanked overseas? I am seriously drawing a blank...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you!

@citizencoffeecake: Yeah I know, I just wanted to try a second time because it was driving me nuts. It won't happen a third time believe me.
Well I heard that metroid, metal gear and Castlevania were always bigger deals here than they were in Japan. I don't know if Halo has a bit presence outside of the U.S. being that they supposedly prefer Sony in Europe and FPS in general don't sell in Japan, let alone American made consoles.

Sorry, I think yesterday you were asking for non-game software only and now you're including games. Some people around here may know that. I would guess stuff like The Giana Sisters sold much better in Europe than in the US although I'm not sure.
Overseas Europe? Or Overseas Japan?
If the latter, the list is too long to even bother with.
For Europe? I'd have to think about it for a specific case but there are many. All markets have different tastes. Madden sales outside the US are paltry by comparison. But really depends what you mean by "sold really well" and "tanked".
Why do you ask?
It was just a question that came up during some downtime at work and it was driving me crazy since yesterday. I tried googling a bunch of stuff but I turned up with nada so I figured I would ask here.
Overseas in terms of anywhere outside the US. "Sold really well" meaning top 10 selling game and "tanked" as in barely sold any copies is what I was told then I asked.
Really thank you for all of the help guys! :)
@isawachuck: I'm not sure this qualifies as overseas but it's an interesting little factoid: the top 10 sales charts in the US in 2005 had 3 (american) football games. No hockey games were in the top 20. In Canada there were 3 hockey games in the top 10 and no football games in the top 20. This was back when sales charts counted PS2, Xbox and PC sales of the same game as different versions.
@royce_mccutcheon: No, it doesn't. You won't even find it in shops in NZ or Oz for that matter.
