Sony At It Again

Sony's PR team are certainly consistent with the BS, look at this graph they recently cooked up and are e-mailing to media sources.  
 

This is like launch day all over again. What's the point of these tables? Is it really from Sony? And who is it aimed at? Do they put it on stores, or what? I guess I just don't get the marketing value of these things, and can't believe someone's actually paid to write it...

Where's the PC gaming checklist? I'd like to see a PC fanboy checklist. "Has awesome grafixs. Number of buttons. Can play old school games?" :P

All valid points. PS3 offers more out of the box then the Xbox does. If you want all the extras for your xbox, you will end up paying the same amount as what you would for a PS3. I own both, can't say I prefer one over the other.

This list seems old. I doubt it's from sony though I will believe you if you show me the source of that chart. But I don't get why you think it's BS. Granted it's PR BS but it's not like they didn't say anything that was not true. Though Microsoft takes the cake when it comes to PR BS. They are the Undefeated, Undisputed Heavy Weight Champions of the World when it comes to PR BS.

The Sony chart is true but it's presented in such a ridiculous way.

I remember seeing these long ago. They're still funny though.

It looks Shady as fuck....but one thing you gotta admit....it's all true.

Eeeehhhhh mixed feelings here. Yeah it's stupid and cheap. But hey, it's true. Well except the hard drive. Most 360 models come with hard drives. Except the core and arcade.

The other charts were pretty funny.

My only beef with the 360 is the Wifi and the HDD.  I see NO reason why it shouldn't have Wifi as every product from the past 3 years had it built in.  The HDD because I'm spoiled by Sony by being able to install any 2.5 HDD/SSD into my PS3 for cheap.

The joke ones were pretty good, but We have already had this discussion months ago. Remember? Giant Bomb put out it's own chart comparing a PS3 to a SNES and a Sandwich?

Clearly not.  Yeah, the story I saw on GoNintendo was focusing on these mocks.

Huh?  What are you talking about?  Just plug in the USB and the PS3 there is a setting to sync it automatically.  O_o "

The 360 isn't compatable with the PSP?!
 
I won't condemn Sony for doing this, as it's no different than anything Microsoft or Nintendo would do, but did they need to pick the 360 arcade model specs, up against the 80gb PS3?  It's more than a little misleading, and doesn't even factor in the price.  Even if you wish to buy all those add-ons for the 360, none of which are necessary, it still works out cheaper than an 80gb PS3.  Although Microsoft overcharge for a lot of their add-ons, it's nice to at least have the option.
 
For example, my computer is almost right next to 360.. no need to pay extra for a wi-fi adaptor when a simple cable will suffice.

Sony is just frustrated that the PS3 is still in 3rd place. I would be frustrated too if I was them, but instead of focusing all their time on trying to make the PS3 sound better than the other two consoles, they need to make more good games for it.

They really should rename the PS3 to "Jealousy in Black"...because they can't ever seem to offer anything on the fact that their game library consists of mostly third party titles that are also featured on the 360...and a handful of exclusives that are "meh".

Gears Of War? Resistance? There both two different games.....Ok Gears Vs Killzone 2 or MGS4 or Uncharted or Infamous.

Lol. Sony, you are so desperate. Just drop the price of the PS3 and stop making excuses!
