's topic except I want you to highlight games that you think are still better than modern equivalents.To start off, for me it would have to be Homeworld 2. The combat feels alive and the way ships move on all dimensions on the battlefield really opened it up for real tactical manouvers in a 3D space enviroment. I was psyched as all hell when I first heard about Sins of a solar empire but when I played it it felt like I could see the dicerolls happening infront of me, ships sitting still on a 2D plane shooting at eachother. Taking damage before the actual FX of the weapon had hit them. It was all a numbers game and I was incredibly disappointed. I uninstalled it and never looked back.
