Steam Achievements In

You can now link your Steam accounts to your GB account.  Like XBOX Live, your Steam account must be set to public so that we can see your achievements.  I'll be watching throughout the day making sure there aren't any errors in the process.

Great stuff, I was originally a bit confused because it asks for your Steam username, which for me, is different from my nickname and Steam Community 'Custom URL' - I had to use the latter to get it to work.

Right now it just says "username". I assume what you really need to enter is your custom URL. Anyway, it's fetched my avatar so, it's working for me so far.

Awesome. It's a shame you guys can't get Sony to play nice. Would be nice to have a central area thing for all my gaming profiles.

Does the games have to be tied to Giant Bomb pages manually or something? 'Cause Portal and Audiosurf seem to be working 100% fine, but my other Steam games are missing game icons in my games list and gives 404s when clicking their achievements. I actually have the same problem with the PC version of Kane & Lynch, which is through GFW Live.

Just added mine and seems to be working. No icons for some games but the links seem to work.

Use the "Custom URL" name. We're fixing some of the wording in our forms, but that's what needs to be used. Also note that this is a case sensitive name. For Jeff "GiantBombing" did not work because the url was "giantbombing".

Cheers Snide, that last point just fixed it for me, I was using TheBeast instead of 'thebeast'.

Well, that was a quick 15 mins. It took about 30 seconds. Awesome.

All my achievements come up as rare. Also I have 11/12 Braid achievements yet I have a D rank.

Grades and rarity only get updated once a day. We'll run it sporadically through the day for steam today.

Haven't got and done it yet but all I can say is "YES!" in a Jeff voice.

Added my account no problem at all. It says wait 15mins for it all to build...

Before even refreshing my page I got a PM saying
"Just letting you know that we've finished syncing your account, danger_danger, on the Steam service. You can check out your cool stats at http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/scooper/games/."

Hi, I got an error with using a Custom URL e.g. http://steamcommunity.com/id/monk-tf2.

The dash seems to cause a problem so I changed it to http://steamcommunity.com/id/monktf2. Some issues with special characters?

It is all working now though.

Weird. I used "LordAndrew" and it worked great. I don't know why some people are having problems with case.

I'm happy the world can see I got the fastest time in the world on Trails 2 but sad at the fact that there are a few games I've bought but not even installed yet or played like once.

Dang.. still not working.. I'll check in the morning.
In my case It may be tricky since I have a "_" in my Steam account.
And it doesn't work.
Maybe because of that....
Changed my account name to HawaianApe-
Also changed the url.
Typed in hawaianape- not working still..

Account does not exist. Maybe the system is bogged down atm.

I added it and it still gives me that annoying little maroon message. I tried it several different times and am certain that I entered it correctly at least once if not twice or three times. What's going on?

Though I don't have any games with Steam achievements, just wanted to say great job and thanks for the continued support by the GB crew!

Sweet. It worked instantly for me. But the message I received telling me it was complete didn't show up in my inbox. I finally figured out that if I click the unread messages tab it would finally let me read it.

Put a fix on for those of you that were showing up with 0 achievements.  I'm manually rerunning everyone, so your accounts should see achievements soon.
