I'll wait on a better source. But that really sucks if he is dead.

#3 Posted by Mentalnova (139 posts) -

I won't click Twitter, link to CNN or something.

#4 Edited by FluxWaveZ (19355 posts) -

Nope.

Well... I hope not.

#5 Posted by Village_Guy (2598 posts) -

With the way he looked during the last few months it was only a question of time really.

But it is still sad to see a visionary pass away.

Rest In Peace.

It was the lack of an iphone 5 that finished him off. he was really looking forward to it :(

#16 Posted by Brodehouse (9975 posts) -

Oh damn, now Ryan's joke of calling him the ghastly skeleton of Steve Jobs is mean.

#17 Edited by Branthog (5562 posts) -

Yeah, I knew this was going to be coming very soon and it still is hitting me hard, anyway. So much of my career and my passion for what I do (in and out of my career) is a debt I owe to Woz and Jobs, among others. Despite my occasional gripes on policies and products, I have so much love and respect for the man and his dedication.

One of the most meaningful speeches I've ever heard from Steve with one of the most humble and valuable statements conveyed at the end of it (starts at 7m35s).

Damn. It's sad to think that a guy like that can't go on anymore. His fate is what unites us all though, so rest in peace Steve Jobs.

#38 Posted by amomjc (977 posts) -

Sad, never nice when someone leaves the world the way he did. He will be missed when it comes to innovations in the market. Let's hope his death is not in vain and Apple takes what he did and creates even greater milestones in his name.

I've never been an Apple fan but there is no denying the impact that him and Apple has had on music, phones, computers, and the world as a whole.

RIP Steve Jobs.

#41 Posted by RE_Player1 (7561 posts) -

Whether you like Apple or not you can't say the man hasn't changed the way we use technology in our daily lives. He will be missed. I'm curious to see Apple in 5 years or whenever it is obvious what they are doing had no influence by Steve Jobs whatsoever.

#42 Posted by PeasantAbuse (5138 posts) -

Steve Jobs was a hard dude, worked pretty much up until the end. RIP

Never cared for an apple product and highly doubt I ever will, but condolences to friends and family.

When I eventually buy an iPad, I'll get it engraved in tribute to him. Rest in peace and thanks for everything.

Which he should. In the case of someone's death, the rule of "If you have nothing good to say, don't say it" should be applied at all times, else it just makes you look like an asshole/psychopath.

R.I.P

Wow, the forums have really improved. I have yet to see a comment about people dying and receiving no recognition in third-world countries.
