The sword is obviously the girl. She transforms. Just look at her, she looks like a sword.

I bet you the game will use the same engine as TP but tweaked, have a spirit theme this time and use the Motion+ which will make the grass cutting 100x better. Also the game will come out holiday 2010 and be called The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Sword

Hmmmmm...

You know, maybe I'm reading too much into this, but that's a damn fascinating image to me. I know Miyamoto is a big Fumito Ueda fan. I have to wonder/hope that maybe this is taking the game in something of an Ico direction? Obviously the sword-girl is important to whatever this concept is, and I wonder if you have to use her as part of the puzzles?

Again, probably overanalyzing, but she is clearly meant to draw attention to her.

A little aside here, but am I the only one who is finding it hard to give a damn about any "New Zelda info!" that leaks out? I think maybe after TP I maybe burned out a bit on the series, at least in its current formulae.

Well I like Zelda games personally. But also, Miyamoto has said at least publicly, even before TP came out, that they're trying to figure out a way to majorly overhaul the way that Zelda "works." I doubt it will be anything major, but I suspect they know they can't just remake Ocarina again.

I just am not sure what direction you go with Zelda though. Its such an iconic formula, that I think you really just add on top of it rather than shake it from the roots up.

It wont be called Spirit Sword because the newest DS game is called Spirit Tracks.
