Definitely Binding of Isaac. It's crazy to think how much time I've spent playing that game.

I haven't played too many. Probably Defend Your Castle. I used to play that at work when I had some downtime.

#4 Posted by Branthog (7473 posts) -

I've never really played Flash games. Flash is a hideous fucking invention. Fortunately, we'll all start playing HTML5 games, eventually. :)

Stained Glass is a puzzle game that I've played on and off for about 4 years. I've even managed to do up to the second last puzzle in my head.

That one where the hot girl tells me she's trying to add me on Facebook. Every time I click on it it takes me to some random website trying to get me to download fake software. I will not be distracted! Sooner or later it'll take me to an inbox with her friend request!!

So there's this game called Tetris...

I once wasted an entire day and many more lessons of A level IT at school playing Protector 3, 4 years ago. I later failed the course but it was worth it

Realm of the Mad Godis a twin-stick shooter MMORPG that takes about two hours to reach max level, but features permadeath.

#13 Posted by beef_melody (268 posts) -

Absolutely has to be Binding of Isaac.

#14 Posted by MysteriousBob (6272 posts) -

The Binding of Issac.

Kind of wish it wasn't flash. Despite being a graphically simple game, it runs like crap on my laptop when it really shouldn't.

BOI for me as well. I am nearing the 40 hour mark with the game now and almost have all the items... Unsure if I will ever get most of the not taking damage achievements though, I don't really play that game conservatively.

For me it's VVVVVV.

Flight of the Hamsters

#20 Posted by WarlockEngineerMoreDakka (432 posts) -

Super Meat Boy's the most recent one that comes to mind. :)

As for free Flash Games though, I've spent a lot of time with N and Time Fcuk.

There is a flash version but there is also a C++ version. I'm pretty sure most versions aren't flash. I know for certain that the 3DS and Linux versions aren't.

Ginormo Sword. I've spent quite a while playing that and getting ALL the equips and special stuff. It saves your progress too!

I can't speak for the Windows version, but I played it on OS X, and that was definitely Flash, "Global Preferences" window and all.

Oh it isn't?

Not sure how I came to thinking it was then. :\

@WarlockEngineerMoreDakka: The original Meat Boy was a flash game though.

#28 Posted by benspyda (2032 posts) -

Probably Bloons tower defense while I was at Uni.

Also I'll pimp my flash game LethalRPGDestiny 2

#29 Posted by lockwoodx (2479 posts) -

I'm a sucker for good tower defense games. VectorTD is a great one.

#30 Posted by xMP44x (2193 posts) -

I'm thinking Happy Wheels. Over the top, excessively violent and an excellent waste of time.

#31 Posted by hermes (1400 posts) -

I believe Machinarium is a flash game... in which case, that one.

Wasn't a flash game, but a flash animation. It was of this generic anime girl with huge tits that kept bouncing. They had this song playing that made her boobs bounce to this annoyingly catchy beat and it was utterly hypnotic. Wish I could find the link again.

people like to hate on flash a lot but flash development and newgrounds have had a huge impact on the modern indie scene. its weird to hear jeff or brad talk shit about flash and then talk about how they adore super meat boy or fucking tower defense games.

Kingdom Rush, Burrito Bison 1&2, Rebuild 2 are a few that come to mind.

Super Meat Boy on NewGrounds

The first version of the game is a flash title.

I think you meant to say "Meat Boy on NewGrounds".

Like mysteriousbob said, Super Meat Boy is not a Flash game. Meat Boy is a flash game.
