I kind of like the fact that the blogs are attached to the forums, when I post a blog to a forum I usually get like 30-100 posts. Where as if I didn't post it to the forum I would get 0-3 posts.
Can't the same argument be made about user reviews?

I'm not suggesting that functionality is removed, but the fact that people are having to go to the forums to find blogs is very convoluted.
