Interesting to see GB sat next to Gamespot.
I don't know what you're talking about. I only see Comic Vine and Giant Bomb. I may or may not have filtered out a logo.

Gamespot doesn't link to Giant Bomb.
STABBED IN THE BACK
You're acting like that's a bad thing.
And they said things wouldn't change. Harumph, I say! Harumph!
Now I must attempt to figure out where the hell I learned harumph because that's a thing apparently. It's on urban dictionary and everything. (nvm mystery solved. Blazing Saddles)

Why is there a link to Gamespot, specifically? ie. why no link to GameFAQs/Metacritic etc...?
why would you want to link to gameFAQs
It would be more useful than a link to Gamespot.

Gamespot's logo is pretty silly. Someone should fix that.
I was thinking that earlier. Also I get Gamespot UK whenever I go there, does anyone know if there are any major editorial differences between this and the US version, or does it just change things like release dates?
Who owns whiskeymedia.com now? The Advertise and Help links are probably going to change soon.
As for GameFAQs not being there, much of the site's content is accessible from GameSpot anyway. I appreciate that they didn't fill the footer with logos. If the slim footer is going away, I prefer the more understated look.

Web sites like to roll up brands into a single umbrella for reporting. That's why we used to have the whiskey logo down there. In this case, the umbrella channel is gamespot, so there is no need to link to gamefaqs/metacritic, just the GS one. We did this footer quick, Alexis and I will think up something a little more functional when we have time later in the week. I know people liked the ability to scan stories from the other sites down there and we'll try to continue that.
Do they really need the footer at all, though? Why link to another video game website when you're already on one?

I think Gamespot uk just uses a lot of U's.
I hope we can remove it in the future like we did with the previous bottom of the site. I don't even want to see that sites name when I'm on Giant Bomb.
