Wonderful Wikis

 Box in Box Art is in the running for the best new concept page this year. The image gallery, especially the default image, are definitely worth checking out for a good laugh. This week the wiki editors for the fire Emblem wiki pages really hit it out of the park.

Best of Blogs/Fantastic Forums

The Lantern Run is back for one last crack at the S-Rank, but check out PsEG's stats breakdown of the last attempt to see how well they did last time. ArbitraryWater and MattyFTM both wrote blogs about the Mass Effect franchise from different perspectives. Sparky_Buzzsaw played through Kingdoms of Amalur and talks about why it's worth it despite its problems. DrRandle discusses the future of Super Smash Bros while RelentlessKnight discusses the future for the Call of Duty: Black Ops. Mento has begun a concerted effort to make a dent at the games in his backlog. dankempster is awash with Final Fantasy games this week between completing FinalFantasy XIII-2 and continuing his Final Fantasy VII endurance run. jakob187 talks about why he doesn't like Tribes Ascend's free to play model. onan looks at games that beat Fez to the punch at having cryptography as a part of their gameplay. astrodoggy discusses the limitations of video games and how they can embrace them better. Finally we have all of the weekly updates and gaming related blogs from all of your favorite users.

Lovable Lists

Marino and TehRYNOL both have ideas of who should be in the PlaySTation All-Stars game and share them on their lists. Mento talks about the best "Cool Old Guys" in video games and Giant Bomb. Psykhophear has a list of his favorite scary games and lists (spoilers!) the most memorable moments from them.

Thanks for the mention and the tweets. Next poll will be up on Monday.

Thanks for the mention! There are a lot of blogs and a couple of lists in there I haven't read, and from users I haven't seen. That's really cool, and I suppose that's my evening plans, then. Hah!

Congrats everyone and to the wiki editors and who worked on the Fire Emblem page. Hope these wiki pages spark some interest gamers who haven't try Fire Emblem or Skies of Arcadia. Thanks Zombiepie!

Good going guys, cool stuff as always. I'm playing as a Mage in Skyrim now so that guide is pretty useful.

Oh wow, thanks!

Reviews. Do you like them? Are they needed? Do they matter? Ever thought of a Giant Bomb without reviews? I made this thread where we can discuss all of these.

I wrote up a blog about some of my favorite gaming introductions. If you can feature it on your next spotlight, I would be very grateful!

Are there any recent projects I should know about for this week?

@ZombiePie:

It's more a coincidence last week when I saw Hailinel and Chalphy adding Fire Emblem Awakening pictures which I have never heard about the new game. Their wiki work motivated me to work on the pages, and we both anticipated and noticed each other's work without direct communication as we both work on FE related pages around the same time. It's strange huh?

Unfortunately, I got to study for finals next week. I hope you get some wiki submissions for this week. I'm sorry about that.

Edit:

No projects for this week.

@ZombiePie:

Actually, I have some pages to nominate that were done by my fellow peers.

Thank you, Zombiepie for the notice.

One page that I'm rather proud of is Grust.

@ZombiePie: I wrote a blog earlier in the week, I believe on Monday that is the first in a new (hopefully) bi-weekly series that I am starting titled Devolution (5/7/2012) - Old Man River City Ransom. I explain the concept in the opening of the blog and throughout the different sections. In short, I will be discussing the games that I have been playing over the last couple of weeks with impressions and light review elements, as well as in the Pissing Off My Wife section, discussing my search through flea markets, the internet, and second-hand stores for physical copies of retro games and systems. I'm hoping in some way this becomes at least marginally entertaining for anyone who wants to keep up with it.

Also, I made a few edits to a couple of Wiki's that were in desperate need of it the Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart character pages respectively.

Whole lot of stupid nonsense from me this week. Plus that ongoing Steam thing - I've kept the table in the first thread updated.

If you still need wiki suggestions, I updated Super Bomberman 2 with quite a bit of text. It's nothing too interesting or well-formatted though.

My 1C blogs have been rather sporadic as if late, but here is one http://www.giantbomb.com/profile/alexw00d/the-1c-complete-pack-and-me-faces-of-war/30-93312/
And then more since on my blog of course. Also boo mobile site with the lack of hyperlinks.
