The difference between Forums?

Hate to be a n00b but whats the difference between General Discussion and Off-Topic?

General has to do with games and game news. And off-topic has to do with movies, tv, life issues. Things like that. Someone correct if I'm wrong.

General Discussion is for video game related and Giant Bomb website related discussion.
 
Off Topic is for anything that does not have a connection or direct relation to either of the above. So as mentioned things like movies, tv shows, music and real life issues etc go in there.
