As of now, I am stepping down from my role as a Wiki moderator of Giant Bomb.
The reason is simple, I don't have the time to keep up with the moderation duties. It wouldn't be fair to burden the staff with an inactive moderator.
That being said, I would like the staff for giving me the wonderful opportunity of being a moderator on my favorite site. I'd also like to thank the users, for being the best users of any website ever and making my job of a moderator much easier.
I'll continue to contribute to the community, update my blog, and keep visiting the site daily. Thanks again, and peace out.

Out of sheer laziness and because of very similar circumstances, I express the same sentiments. It was a hell of a gig and I have every intention of sticking around and doing my thing as one of the regular users now. Many thanks to one and all for making it an awesome gig.

Thank you both for all the time you spent helping the site out - couldn't have asked for better people to be dealing with this stuff with! I'll be keeping an eye out for both blogs - always an interesting read.
I've noticed that neither of you have been very active lately. Is that due to the moderation workload, or just a sign of the lack of time you have to dedicate to the site? No need to answer. I'm just nosy. :)

We got our free Luchadeer hoodies as a result of the gig. Considering those things are pricey, I'd say that's good enough. It's not as though a lot of sites actually have a paid moderation staff anyway, so, at least for me, that wasn't an issue. A lot of the other moderators already have paid jobs anyway. If anybody actually left because of that issue, I'd be really surprised.
I only had time to update my status the other day with the news, but I have stepped down from the job as well. I would accept it again in a heartbeat, though.

I don't think they got it wrong at all. They ruled a people in the only way you can in a communist society. Oppressing opportunity, rewarding mediocrity, not rewarding achievement, those things tend to rile the masses up. The only way to shut them up is either in a gulag, in jail, or as good ol' guy Stalin would do, just kill em'. It's easier that way. So most people can be middle class, free, and unappreciative for how good they've got it, or everyone can be poor, quiet, or dead. It's not a tough choice. The problem with worshiping guys like Marx is pretty soon you start to believe they had it all figured out. They didn't. Nobody does. Not me, not you, not a mod, and certainly....certainly not Marx.
