Put the persona on the portal, cast Bufu.
Disney has a lot of interesting properties for adults, but I don't think they're interested in using them. Glad to see some Alex content going up!
Thanks for the article, @Alex =)
Definitely some interesting points that I hadn't yet considered in here. I now share a bit of your optimism, especially when considering the properties Disney could include in this thing. Hopefully they don't attach Warren Spector to the project, or I'll be a little nervous.
Also, the game needs a Johnny V character - initials shaved in chest, and all.
I'm not excited for anything from Disney and I'm going to try my damnedest to leech the fun out of everybody else!
Mr. Ratcliffe,
How is your alias name pronounced, if not Navarro? I agree Universe looks cool but no more than Smash Bros on steroids meets DC Universe in bed with a Skylander. I like the Disney universe well enough - some of the levels in the KH series were pretty amazing. All the different art styles of the characters and worlds made for a very interesting game (it's something developers should copy in non title-mixing games). But I'm still not sure I'll be signing up for it... Am I glad it exists? Yes, I guess so.
So who's next, Lego? Do any of those Lego games (Batman, Star Wars, Indiana Jones) come with any actual Lego, or are they all sold separately?
Can you fucking imagine how amazing it would be if you had a Lego man who could level up like a Skylander?
Anyways, cool new feature. Will it always be on Sundays? That'd be great.
Great to see a column by Alex. Been looking for more of his stuff! Also, I read the entire thing in his voice (which was weird but kinda cool at the same time). Looking forward to many more awesome articles like this!

Appreciate the article Alex. You have an excellent writing style, and I look forward to future posts.
Nice article Alex,
This shit just brings out the old man in me and makes me worried that kids aren't going to use their imaginations with these toys. Instead if playing and making stories they are going to have stories told to them through their toys. This is probably too simplistic but I always think kids don't need tech as their imaginaitons are so wild - its adults that need the fancy toys.
Still waiting for the Skylanders' Black Ops expansion set.
I'm not a child, nor an obsessive toy collecting adult, but the statues for these sets look completely dull and lifeless. Calling these things 'toys' really is a stretch. It's like saying the remote control for your TV is a toy. /grinch

I've been watching DuckTales on Amazon Prime Instant. I had forgotten how huge a part of my childhood was about the Disney Afternoon.
It's on Amazon Prime Instant?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Shit, I've had it for 3 years and never knew that. Time to relive my Disney Afternoon childhood!
@Alex I just want Disney to give the go-ahead to Warren Spector to greenlight the Ducktales game he so desperately wants to make.
