Was just about to ask this question. I'm out and about tonight (it IS a Friday after all... the one before Christmas, no less!) so I have zero chance of catching the stream. I assume it will be one Twitch, no?
I am guessing it is not a Premium Stream so they would use the main channel to get the 720p optio, that channel auto archives, unlike the Premium one for obvious reasons.
I hope "won't be archived" means "won't be archived immediately because we're out of the office but we'll take care of it once we're back don't worry".
Otherwise it seems wasteful and a little inconsiderate of anyone who is abroad or has to (gasp) work on a Friday. Hopefully someone will take care of it like the Unarchived Retro Stream from a couple years back that you can find on YouTube.
If it ain't a premium stream (which it isn't) it will be archived on the giant bomb twitch account like every other non premium video that they streamed through twitch TV ever. Stop freaking out.
You guys have become so sensitive about the archiving issue, I remember back in the old days GB would stream stuff all the time and not archive any of it.

No, it won't be archived means it'll not be getting recorded with Drew or Vinny at the controls & so isn't going to be of the usual high quality & so it will probably be archived on Twitch & not on the main site. If it isn't then eh, you'll live. I mean they weren't sure if they were going to be able to do anything this week live stream-wise so I don't really think this is particularly inconsiderate. It's this or nothing.

Huh? I'm fairly sure they do. I'm in Sweden, and for me it says the stream will go live at 9pm tonight.
Yes, and it has a listed start time of 8pm here in the UK. They absolutely do have the time show up according to which timezone you are in.

That was before people were given a (admittedly justified) sense of entitlement from membership fees.
@forkboy yeah, 'inconsiderate' might be a bridge too far, but I have my doubts whether saving a local copy of the stream is such a heavily technical problem that it requires Drew (the Giant Bomb equivalent of the sonic screwdriver). I got a twitch account, I can archive stuff both online and in my capture software.
On a purely philosophical level, also seems really weird since it was this site that I reference with the 'content a la carte' new entertainment media platform. A live event that you have to clear time for and is only there once just seems incongruous with the ethos of the site.
I'm sure it will get archived, though. Even if its up to the audience to do it themselves.
It'll still be there on Twitch, but it goes away after a set amount of time (two weeks I believe)
Thats not true at all. All of the live streams are still up on twitch and Justin.tv
Huh, so they are. For some reason I remember Vinny or Jeff saying that stuff gets deleted at regular intervals. Twitch's server costs must be astronomical...

Sadly you will be if you watch that tonight. Maybe it was just me but the guys seemed out of it and that sitting there was the last place ether of them wanted to be. The last half of the show really dragged on.
I want somebody to make a new Legend of Kage game. :)
No lie I've been trying to figure out the name of that game for like 20 or so years of the 27 I've been alive. I played that shit at my cousins house when I was like 6 or 7 and never knew the name then it came rushing back to me in a flood of memories. And that game WAS awesome.
