The ODST ads are horrible

The Halo 3: ODST ads on the site look cool and all but I'm just worried about bungie and microsoft putting pressure on the site to give ODST a good review. I don't like review pages to have special advertised backgrounds, they look cool but remind me of Gerstmanngate. What do you think of the ads?

If Bungie and Microsoft were really pressuring Giant Bomb for a good review by buying ad space, do you really think they'd settle for a 4-star review?

Yes, another post complaining about ads! Let's just ignore this one, shall we?

Those ads and their effect on the review have been discussed on a million different threads. A moderator should lock this ASAP.

I think they are fine. They gave the game 4/5 so they didn't give it a perfect score so I don't think that there was any pressure.

I don't think Jeff would fall to pressure but I think they could lose Microsoft as an advertiser if they upset them with a bad review. "

I've had Ad Block Plus on my firefox for a few weeks now, since they introduced those video ads, so I haven't seen any since then. However, today, I used Chrome to go to Giant Bomb and it's just ODST ads EVERYWHERE. they are the video ads, the banners and the contests... I mean, I guess it's ok... but it's enough to make me feel uncomfortable (which is why I got ABP in the first place). Plus now I'm starting to feel like Jeff is also aware of how they're shoving ODST down our throat... just some comments he made...
