The title of a new game with a retro robotech aesthetic?

The boys were talking about it on the bomb cast just wanted to know the name of the game and where I could find some information.

I believe they were talking about Galak-Z.

Reminds me of some 2D XXXX game I once played at a friend's home on a Mac, over a decade ago. I guess Galak-Z is pure action though. Love games with inertia.
