Post some of your unpopular opinions.

Advent Rising deserved a sequel.
Halo 3's multiplayer is the best on consoles.
Bellsprout is the most underrated Pokemon.

@EpicReflex: It's a shame that people don't realize how good the multiplayer for Halo 3 actually is and really the amount of skill involved still trumps over anything on the consoles in terms of shooters.

Anyway mine is..Gears 2 should have embraced the shotgun and the speed that cover can give you.

Only people with real friends on consoles that start a party and go through games together realize this...

FFXII is one of the better final fantasies hands-down, like in the top 3 good.

Mass Effect 2 is just an OK sequel.
Final Fantasy X is the worst in the franchise.
The best sales do not mean the best quality in a game and/or system.

720p graphics on large HDTVs are more impressive than 1920 x1200 resolution graphics on a 24" monitor.

The PSN community is more mature than the XBL community (and not just because PS3 players regularly do not have a headset).

EVERY Halo single player campaign since CE has been creatively bankrupt (no comment on the multiplayer)
I will never understand the draw to the RE series (including 4 and 5)
FFXII Is the best in the series since VII. Perhaps even VI (III)
InFamous was an awful game and does not deserve a sequel
Rhythm games are boring (and have always been such)

I've never heard anybody say that SA was better.

I guess mine would be:

-Every single JRPG ever made is completely inferior to most Bioware games.
-Oblivion is a pathetic excuse for an RPG.
-The Halo series has failed to innovate and is now outdated.

Shadowrun was an incredibly balanced, fun, team oriented multiplayer shooter that was more satisfying and complex than a lot of shooters released recently.

Chrono Trigger is still better than most Japanese RPGs released.

@S0ndor: No you haven't been around long enough at least on GameFAQs. There are people who are mad with IV and would gladly pick SR2 over it.

I even really liked the way the vehicles handled in IV...

Gran Turismo games are not fun, not in the slightest. I question their categorisation within entertainment.

Both the Lion King and Aladdin taught horrible principles to kids. The Lion King taught kids that ditching your responsibilities is perfectly fine since everything will work out for you whenever you feel like going back to your duties. Aladdin was a story about a thief who was given virtually all the power in the world (aka Genie), fucked up big time with his new found power, but still got the girl and the inheritance at the end.

GTA IV was awful.
First person shooters will never be able to evolve in a significant way.
The Dead or Alive series is about more than boobs and has a damn good story for a fighting game.
Alyx Vance in completely delusional and annoying.
Walrein is more than capable of being on a competitive team.

Star Wars is not good, and really, never was.

Games are better than they have ever been.

Call of Duty 4 is vastly better than Modern Warfare 2, and Modern Warfare 2 did not, in any way, deserve the 5 out of 5 is got from Giantbomb.com.

Dragon Age: Origins is a fucking flip double flip backwards for Bioware, and is thusly not good.

the forza franchise is plainly better than the Gran Turismo franchise.

Really got me thinking...

1. Viva Pinata may just be the best new IP of this generation.
2. Jak & Daxter is the greatest Playstation franchise ever, and one of the best ever overall.
3. Brutal Legend's window dressing made up for it's poor RTS gameplay elements.
4. Metal Gear Solid was a revolutionary masterpiece - 2, 3 and 4 were merely over-rated, over written sequels.
5. Sonic has sucked ever since halfway through the first one.
6. XBox avatars don't rule or suck, they're just there... whatever.
7. Graphic technology will never hold a candle to artistic style.
8. LittleBig Planet was brilliant, but it's terrible platforming controls suck the life out of everyone's creations.
9. The Legend of Zelda Windwaker is by far the best looking Zelda game.
10. Keep pumping out movie based Lego games - forever and don't ever EVER change them.

Playing it all the way through for the first time yesterday, the original Sonic the Hedgehog has some terrible design issues and the master system version is a better game.
Outside of the good music and multiple endings which may have been something new at the time, Chrono Trigger has a rather uninteresting story and undeveloped characters. I'll never understand why it's so highly regarded by some.

I agree whole heartedly with #4
