The Video Game Soundtrack of 2010

I thought it might be fun if we all worked together and cobble together a a list of our favorite video game songs from the past year.  The songs that we thought were the best or that will stick with us the most.  I guess I'll start things off with a Deadly Premonition trifecta:

Bayonetta has great music.

Life is Beautiful from Deadly Premonition wins song of the year (barely beating Bayonetta) but Super Meat Boy is soundtrack of the year.

I'll pick one from each 2010 game I've played this year that's actually had a soundtrack of note:

I didn't play a whole bunch, but Super Meat Boy takes it for me. Red Dead Redemption also had some really strong moments on account of its soundtrack.

I totally forgot about Scott Pilgrim.  Anamananoguchi or whatever did a great job there.

Jack Wall FTW. Mass Effect 2 crushes almost all actual movie OSTs. SMBis the shit too, though, as is SP v W.

My nomination is going to have to go to Final Fantasy XIII, which is a horrible game, but has an absolutely fantastic soundtrack.

I've mentioned already that VVVVVV's soundtrack is my favourite for this year. Clear second would be Super Meat Boy, got this song stuck in my head now:

Nice to hear that some of these were listed in the bombcast. Somebody put it in before me, but I'm throwing in a better version of it:

Bad Company 2 had a pretty great soundtrack; this track is simply the best.

Scott Pilgrim and Red Dead Redemption for me, with honorable mention going to Assassin's Creed: Bros. and SMB.
