Hey, I’m Karl and I run a small time site dedicated to video games. I mostly do video work, stuff like Quick Looks and tutorial videos.

So, any ways I’m a fan of Jeff and Vinny’s endurance run and I was thinking of starting my own. I’ve got all the equipment needed to record and edit the video, a site to host it on and a youtube account to mirror it with.  I even have a willing friend to ride shot gun.

All I need now… is a game to run. At the moment it’s a toss up between Valkyria Chronicles and Grandia 3. Pretty slim pickings, both are games that I want to play and haven’t yet. Thing is I can’t decide. So that’s why I started this post, I want suggestions.

Are you german or just use the K way of spelling Karl instead of the c way?

I should do Resi :D See if I can still do Resi 2 in under 1:20:00 and see if I can still get to the castle in Resi 4 in 19 minutes lol.

Dayum. I never played Resi Zero enough to get any kinda speedrun time, I think I played it twice, something like 4 hours then 2:30/3. Same with Resi 3, I got a fairly decent time down but I don't actually like the game all that much. I used to have Code Veronica down fairly quick too but havn't played it in years (well, any resi other than 5 lol!)

LordofUltima might have a few suggestions, but if it's a speed run you might need something with a little strategy, if you've a PS3, Valkyria Chronicles might be good but dull to watch

I just spent a good two hours in down town Vancouver looking for Valkyria chronicles, no such luck. Think I'll have to amazon it... if only I was big time, then I could ask sega for a copy.

@Seedofpower: Not sure I want to try and tackle a open world game. I was thinking of a RPG, but most of the good ones I can think of are PS2 era and difficult to find.

@KarlR: You can always go for the jRPGs around that time or a modern one, but ones made today (at least I heard) are not all that great.

i think that you having an endurance run would be a great idea. i suggest that you do it on a game like morrowind. something that everyone would enjoy watching but something that not everyone has played like oblivion or fallout 3

@retwakm: The problem with doing an open world game is that they don't really have deep chracter interaction. However, it is true that focusing on a game that a lot of people haven't played is a good idea.
