i d/c a few times when I was invaded in Demon's Souls
Time to confess your game sins, Giant Bomb.
For some reason I lost it reading this. 4 generations of Sanchos. WHATI savescummed HARD in CK2 so I could assassinate or otherwise get rid of bad inheritance lines. Good thing my Intrigue was ballin' or it would have taken forever to kill Sancho IV, V, VI, and VII.
I ended up playing half of Fallout 3 with godmode on because I stopped caring about the combat and more was just interested in the environment and all the little stories in the game.
I probably play more mobile games than console or PC games now. I don't have much time to play anything anymore.
I probably have more fun playing said mobile games than many major console or PC games now. I don't care about story and that seems to be the current trend with major releases. Hopefully I will start playing more when Simcity comes out.
I never beat a Zelda game.
I gave up on Dark Souls.
I quick saved/quick loaded a lot in certain games to get things I wanted.
I also have gamer raged when I was younger.

I name every single one of my children Sancho. One of my current character's uncles is Sancho II III due to the way CK2 handles randomized names and generations. It's hysterical, because half of the plots are by Sancho, for Sancho, and against Sancho.
I also have two daughters named Sancho II. 'CAUSE WHY NOT.
I have only played one Zelda game which I neither liked nor finished (beat Darksiders two times though).
I have never played through any Mario game.
I have never played Metroid.
I only played one Final Fantasy (XIII) since I don't care for most JRPGs and FF never looked appealing to me (I wanted to make sure FF isn't for me and it most certainly isn't so I put it down after a few hours).
I never finished any GTA eventhough I played all of them.

I actually use quick save/quick load.
I only do this whenever there's lockpicking, decrypting, gambling, fishing minigames to conserve items & money (Mass Effect, Fallout, Red Dead, etc).
Also, I replaced a scratched PS2 disc with a mint Blockbuster rental disc so I could sell it at Gamestop.
All I can think is that I've never played Earthbound even though I know I would love it. Same for Mother 3. And that I'm too OCD about RNGs to play Fire Emblem even though I really want to get the new game. Shit sucks.
I reload saves when I play Tactics so I always have most of the guys I originally had at the beginning of the game.
From Vice City onward I reloaded saves instead of buying new guns. In GTA3 I just used cheats.
I've used guides for nearly all of the adventure (point + click) games I've beaten.
I don't play most games that I play to completion (at least this generation).
I think Bioshock 2 is a better game than Bioshock 1, and that it also has a better story.
My favorite part of Wind Waker is the sailing.
I'll buy a game on 360/PS3 and not beat it, then buy it on PC and also not beat it.
I get bored of Metroid games around half-way through or less.

I save-scummed in DoomRL and XCOM.
Yup, ton of this. It felt bad, but fuck it.
- Got the platinum (all achievements) in Mass Effect 1.
- The only Final Fantasy games I have played are FF13 and FF13-2.
- I respectedmy fire mage in Diablo 2 with a mod, cause guess what, Diablo is fire resistant.
- Clipped my way through Half-Life 1 cause I wanted to see that story before playing HL2. Got 2 mins of story and I still haven't played HL2.
- I reloaded my previous saves in the new XCOM so I beat the game with the same 2 squads.
- I never seriously played a Zelda game, played for 20 min.
- I own a Vita with a 32gb card, 20 PSP games, and 8 Vita games. Only game with more than 3 hours is Persona 4.
- I have played Doom E1M1 like a billion times.
- I own WoW.

I borrowed a copy of Persona 3 FES and never returned it. I'm utter garbage.
I once borrowed THUG 2 on Xbox from a friend. I had it for over a year, he forgot I had it, and I traded it in to GameStop. I am awful.
@Dchao: Usually nowadays if I come across a puzzle in a game and the answer isn't apparent I just google that shit.

I've never beaten Super Mario 64.
My fellow Mario 64 sinner, perhaps this thread will serve as absolution.
To use something that is legitimately questionable, I convinced a friend to buy Street Fighter IV, borrowed it from him a few days later, lent it to another friend, and have never actually given it back, and it's only been 3 1/2 years. And that... is how I got into fighting games.
Also I've save scummed obsessively before, be it as part of the ultra-BS chapter 24x in Fire Emblem Thracia 776 or my attempts at finishing any Infinity Engine game that isn't Planescape Torment. I feel no real shame in it, and don't think it to be particularly offensive most of the time. Some of those games love being unnecessarily cruel. Really, I'd consider my truest gaming-related sin to be the part where I've never played Dark Souls without getting the Drake Sword, which significantly eases the early parts of the game.
I beat the original Starcraft on PC using cheats on every single level. I later moved on to playing on battle.net. I spent as much time playing games as I did looking in the chat rooms for girls (I hope) to cyber with. I did this for about 3 years, beginning at age 11. When I was 13, the release of Wolfenstein: ET cut down on my SC time, and in 2004 Ragnarok Online presented me with a new place to look for chicks. By age 15, I was done cybering because I was too busy grinding in RO to be bothered with fake sex. I didn't cyber again for a few years, when I had a one cyber night stand with a girl I met on a raid in Molten Core. We took off all of our armor and got it on in Dire Maul. She was definitely a girl because I heard her voice in Vent. She didn't ever log in again, and I swore she would be my last virtual sexual encounter.
I have never once touched a Grand Theft Auto game. I almost bought IV on Steam, but then I didn't.
I used to play through old RPGs in emulators and use a hex editor to hack the save states. Give everyone in my party max stats, levels, exp, money. I beat Final Fantasy 1 when the final boss ran away from my ridiculously over-powered party.
I love Super Mario Sunshine.
I find Zelda games boring.
I was addicted to Animal Crossing for six months. I quit when I realized I was (at the time) a 30-year-old playing Animal Crossing.
I didn't play most of the classic Nintendo games from the 80s and 90s because I only played Commodore or PC games.
I wish Capcom would go under because I have never enjoyed any of their games.
I hate this world for what it's done to Ryo Hazuki.
I use cheat codes when I find games to be boring.
I enjoy WInd Waker better than Ocarina of Time.
I have never played the original Portal.
I find consoles games to be lackluster and an overall lame experience.
I brought an automatic turret to the third boss fight in DX: HR after getting that chip upgrade. For the love of goodness, I could not beat that boss fight.
I have never beaten FFVII, but I did beat FFX.
I do not like the new Mario games.
I am horrible at strategy games.
I have started, but never completed, Final Fantasy 1-9. I have also started every Zelda game, but only finished Wind Waker.
Oh, and I also got kicked out of a Battlefield 2 'realism' group by arguing with my CO when I was 12 or 13, I took it WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. I understand now why some clans/guilds have 18+ in their requirements...
I've played up to about three quarters completion in every Final Fantasy (Not counting MMO's).
I've only beaten X-2.
I spent several years thinking of Jonathan Blow as a pretentious douche and referring to him as such a few times, before I started looking into the man more and consuming as many of his interviews and comments as I could. I eventually came to the conclusion that he and his games are anything but pretentious. As Tommy said in Indie Game: The Movie's commentary track "Braid is the fucking opposite of pretentious". I had let the pretentious douchiness of a lot of people who fapped on and on about the game in a certain way that made them seem empty and just tying onto something popular and deep to boost how they think people perceive them color how I viewed Braid and Blow. As I came to discover just how insightful and thoughtful Blow was -- even if controversial -- and how sensitive he was to all that he put into his games and the (often personal.. and yes, I'm sure my two bits of it weren't helping) degree to which he took some of the really shitty criticisms of himself or his game on the internet so personally . . . . I realized I was the total douche.
I'm not immune to that sort of reaction all the time, but recognizing how wrong and unfair I was with regard to Blow is something I try to think about more often before I comment on games or developers as being pretentious, which is something that is pretty fucking hard to accurately define someone else as, when I think about it. I mean, my perception of you as presenting yourself as having more substance than you actually have is just as likely to be a fault of my inaccurate perception than of you actually being shallow, vapid, pretentions, etc.

Word!! I've got like a hundred hours on wind waker, or something crazy like that XD
@Branthog: Seconded. IG:TM really made me feel bad for J Blo. I get that he exudes a certain hipster vibe, but nothing about him seems insincere or pretentious. Overambitious, maybe, but I don't see that as a bad thing.
Same with Phil Fish. He's said some really ill-advised things in the past, but nothing so horrible to deserve the vilification that some folks aim at him.
Granted, I don't know these people, but that's just my impressions of them.

Me and my sister combined have gotten 100% on every single Lego game together. I'm not sure if this is a sin or an accomplishment, but I'm proud either way.
You are not alone. My and my brother have the best time playing those games and we're both well into our 20's! It started with the Star Wars ones on PS2 and we are currently working on Lord of the Rings. Skipped on the Pirates of the Caribbean one though we don't care much for the films.
