And even then, there's still a really tough decision to be made.

No, anybody who says otherwise is an idiot. I will be gaming for the rest of my life, and I don't care what anybody tells me.

#9 Posted by TurboMan (7558 posts) -

I plan on gaming till I'm old also...

KEEP ON FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT, CLAUDE!

You should buy a prostitute and do shots off her ass.

No.

Hell no, Claude. As a twenty seven year old, I constantly feel like an old fogey when confronted by kids who weren't even born yet when I was rocking out to Steppenwolf with my SNES back in the day. Your presence puts it all into perspective.

Where's the option to jump around?

#15 Posted by Claude (16254 posts) -

Hell man, I need a new PC, PS3... throw in Kinect and Move and I'm out of the loop. I just want to play them all.

#16 Posted by ReyGitano (2467 posts) -

Never stop doing anything because of your age... unless that thing might kill you.
Then, and only then... maybe.

Do what you like. I worked at a gamestop for a summer and I had a guy come in that was around 70 years old. He traded in Call of duty 4. He said he loved the single player but wasn't into multi-player. Keep doing what makes you happy no matter the age.

You should never stop, but you must have the willpower to control it, make sure your social life isn't lacking, are you married? with kids? if not, and you do want that, then give up games right away(for a time), and dedicate your time to that, if you are where you want to be, then just proceed.

#21 Posted by SethPhotopoulos (5281 posts) -

Why would your age matter?

Yes

Keep playing if you still enjoy playing games
Stop playing if you don't enjoy playing games anymore

I was literally about to say this.  This is the logical answer.
#26 Posted by Legend (2659 posts) -

Just don't waste too much time playing games. 2-6 hours each week should be enough.

#27 Posted by Sparky_Buzzsaw (6229 posts) -

Yes, Claude.  And then you should go ahead and hand your testicles over to The Man.  Look, you and I both know life isn't about conforming to societal norms.  Gaming doesn't hurt anyone (save for crazy ass Koreans who can't tear themselves away from the screen).  Why spend your life putting aside the things you love or deeply enjoy just because other people think it's time to "grow up?"

As long as you still find enjoyment in them and they aren't impeding on other aspects of your life, why stop?

#29 Posted by Gav47 (1542 posts) -

No and happy birthday

#30 Posted by Claude (16254 posts) -

I don't know man. If I can't play them all, why play them at all.

#31 Posted by A_Cute_Squirtle (686 posts) -
You should never stop doing something you enjoy just because of a little age....well I guess there are exceptions.

But you should most certainly do this:

only if you don't like them

Man I wish I had the presence of enough wherewithal, both of mind and means, and to have the kind of capacity of commitment to enjoy rehashes year after year. Happy birthday and God bless.

#35 Posted by emem (1968 posts) -
@Claude: I would say it depends on your situation. When you're having a good and fullfilling life (and of course fun playing games) there's no reason to stop. But if you are addicted and/or it's holding you back in some way (socially) I wouldn't recommend playing games.. since you've "survived" 46 years of gaming I pretty much doubt that, though. :)
#36 Posted by Dalai (7033 posts) -

You should stop playing video games.

And start "playing" video games.

#37 Posted by ArbitraryWater (11791 posts) -

No Claude. Be yourself. As long as you don't alienate the people around you, never stop playing video games. Sure, you may be almost as old as my mom, but I hope that when I'm 46 I will still be playing them too. Or hiding in a bunker to be safe from the radiation.

I don't know how you even made it this long before you asked yourself that question.

Hell no.  What's wrong with playing video games at 46?

#43 Posted by JJWeatherman (14558 posts) -

HELL NAW!

That Robotnik video should get the message across.

#44 Posted by Siphillis (1292 posts) -

NEVER.

#45 Posted by dungbootle (2458 posts) -

It is up to you, but you should never be ashamed of the things that you are into (unless you're hurting yourself or other people, but that's another thing entirely).

#46 Posted by LeetBalla (698 posts) -

Why would I care if you play games or not?

#47 Posted by McGhee (6094 posts) -
