Yes you damn video criminal game player what is wrong with you stop stealing vehicles
Today I'm 46 years old, should I stop playing video games?
" @Claude: I wouldn't mind giving you an answer, just provide some context. Is it fucking up your personal life or something? Also, happy birthday. "Thanks, but I'm fine. I often wonder how many people that play video games and frequent this site will give them up in the future. But all in all, I'm just having some fun. It's my birthday.
The question is are you married? do you have children and a family? If so and you love playing games then by akll means continue, if you are 46 yr old virgin then you might need to reconsider your priorities.
Claude - you do whatever the hell it is you think is worth of your time mate!
Not gonna try and preach some kind of wise knowledge to you - the fact i am literally half your age would make that futile as you will already know anything i could throw at you.
But the way i look at it is that at the end of the day when it comes to 'the end' the only person you really are gonna have to justify anything you've done with - is yourself.
You think spending your time gaming at this age is a good investment of your time?! Then Keep on Keepin' on brother.
Having second thoughts about chosen hobby or maybe feeling that it's time you 'grew up' to something else? Then hammer this shit out and do whatever makes you feel fufilled.
I certainly hope that when i am in my forties i will still be gaming - and unless it's a completely different (for the worse) hobby by then or i have some kind of revelation to change my perception on gaming - that will remain my objective.
You know that there are loads of us on here that will game with you til you decide to pack it in - so until that day keep on rollin' but that day should be decided by you and you alone!
Happy Birthday Claude you sonofabitch x
I don't understand 2 things;
- Why do people ask; "are you married and have kids?" Since when was being married and having kids a recquirement for a fulfilling life at a certain age?
- If you're 46.. shouldn't you have developed a good enough self esteem to not have to go to a community of probably mainly, by comparison, kids for an opinion on your choice of hobby? But then again, I always thought I would handle life better at 27 than I do so maybe growing older does not always equal you have it all figured out.
Anyway, if it's any help my dad is going on 56 and he occassionally game some. He even tried Dance Central and said it was pretty hilarious. So there!
Absolutely not. Have fun with your life. Videogames are fun to you? Then do it until you can't anymore or they are no longer fun and entertaining.
I'm 32. Much older than most of the GB users. While I find myself not keeping up with many of the current gaming trends (I NEVER play multiplayer anything), I still have insane fun playing my games. Seriously, this whole year will be revolving around three games for me. And I'm unapologetically proud of that. I will be a gamer my whole life.
Also, happy birthday to you good sir!
Keep playing if you enjoy it man. Thats what i will do, or until the day comes where every console uses motion control only, them im out.
Yes if you think you should.
But I did not. In fact I didn't discover video games..(PC games that is) till a 'little' late in life. I think gaming lessened for me lately, but I do not think I will ever stop enjoying a truly good game. I simply realize that if I am out of step with anything, it's is with the average gaming age norm, and perhaps some generational things that implies, also.
But that doesn't stop me.
Video games are for kids!!
Also,
Hell no, as long as you are having fun and enjoying yourself while playing you should never quit.
People around me say i'm too old for games and i'm turning 22 next month, so yeah... Some people just don't understand why I(we) play games, they just see videogames as something for kids.
Judging by what you play, you should have stopped a long time ago.
But not because of age, no. Happy bday.
My family and many of my friends expected me to stop playing games when I went to high school just like my cousins and many of my friends, because in the late 90's in Sweden playing games was still just something for kids. However these days everyone seem to be talking about games, even my boss at work was talking about GT5 (I guess Gran Turismo is still a brand mainstream people know).
If you have time and you like games then why stop? It's more and more socially acceptable anyway.
I think that's a decision you really have to make for yourself. Ask yourself: Do I want tostop playing video games? Don't feel as if you should stop playing video games because of something as trivial as age, because that's silly!
It's kinda like that in Norway also, yesterday I met and old friend(who's one year younger than me) off mine who was shocked at my knowledge off games actually (he was looking at X360 games, games like Splatterhouse, Quantom Theory, Dead Space etc. and I told him about every game he looked at) and that I had 20 games for my ps3..."
