Too many games, not enough time.

The end of the year is drawing closer and closer, although the beginning of the year was spent primarily on backlog, now I need to get some 2012 games finished so I can work on my Game of the Year. Right now I'm playing through a bunch of games at the same time, so here is what I've been playing.

Call of Duty Black Ops II

So I really should stop playing this, I finished the single player this morning (Really good) and have spent a decent amount of time with the multiplayer to know that its going to be on my list. But fuck that multiplayer is still so good, I mean really really good. It's one of those games that I will just want to play when I wake up and before I go to sleep, it's one of those games I tell friends I can't go out I'm busy. It's also one of those games that is very easy to play, when faced with the decision of starting up one of my new games that I need to play before the year is done, or just play some Call of Duty it's going to be Call of Duty every time. It's a shame that these games don't come out in the summer when nothing else comes out, then i could play without the feeling of guilt.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted

I picked this up when I picked up Call of Duty. I haven't really spent too much time with this yet, about 3 hours at the very most. I need to sit down and play some more of this, it seems very similar to Burnout Paradise, which is one of the coolest racing game on the PS3. The music is also considerably better, loving the techno/poppy feel. The multiplayer is fantastic and works better than Burnouts did, it looks really good too and the single player seems good enough.

XCOM

I bought this yesterday so am late to the party, but dudes this game is pretty good. I'm not noticing the difficulty yet, but I personally think I'm quite good at the game. I love how tense each battle situation makes you feel, I love it when I take a gamble on a shot that could easily backfire next turn but then it works. I haven't played too much of it because that darn Call of Duty, but I really really want to.

Dishonoured

Again just bought this yesterday and only booted it up a few hours ago, I played up to the point where I get my first powers. What I'm noticing is being stealthy is not that much fun and slicing guys up is, but I was told that the more people I kill the more chance I have of getting a bad ending. Which of course I don't want, but if the game is more fun killing dudes then what should I do? I really can't stand the overall plot, of you being framed, I just hate those storeys where somebody is killed but the killer leaves you in the room and then OH SHIT everybody thinks its you. But I'm enjoying the game, especially the powers there really cool.

Playstation All Stars: Battle Royale

I'm enjoying this, much to my surprise. You see I love Super Smash Bros, Super Smash Bros Melee is one of the best games on the Gamecube. Once I heard about this I went fuck yes, but then when I heard about the weird only getting points by using you super I went oh no. But as I mentioned to my surprise it works rather well, it requires less strategy and more button mashy than Smash Bros but that doesn't make it not fun. I'm finding the best success with Raiden, but I have yet to try hardly any characters.

So there you go, I want to play all of these games right now but I don't have the time. Not to mention a shit load of more games are out and very soon coming out is the Wii U. I want to get one at launch and a copy of New Super Mario Bros U and ZombiU, nothing else interests me but I'm really interested in getting a new system. Comes out this Friday here in the UK, so watch out for that folks.

@Hizang if you're on Normal, you'll probably never notice any difficulty. As long as you're not just dashing guys forward like an idiot, it's pretty hard to do badly (though Ryan somehow found a way).
But if you play on difficulties above that, a few small tweaks in enemy numbers and their accuracy suddenly makes it feel like you're at a casino, because the percentages are stacked against you. You have to really start only taking like 90%+ shots, or in lieu of that, use grenades/rockets/suppression since they are all but guaranteed to be effective.

I'm planning on finishing The Witcher 2, Forza Horizon, Max Payne 3, Black Ops 2, and The Walking Dead over Christmas break, possibly Halo 4 and more, so I'm going to be really busy as far as games go.

Walking Dead is one of the best games this year, Max Payne 3 is a great game overlooked by many and Black Ops 2 will be shunned by many where as its actually the best Call of Duty I have played.

I'm with you, especially after buying way too much this Black Friday. But even before that, I've had games on not just this gen, but last gen and handhelds that I haven't had time to get into yet. I'm hoping to get to a good chunk during the holidays.

Thats really bad man. Should one of your friends drop dead tomorrow and you didn't go out with him/her the day before you would feel really bad.

I also have a lot of games. Only difference is, I have time. I have more then 20 games to beat still and my Vita comes tomorrow, which means even MORE games. Good thing my semester is almost over. I'll have a lot of playing to do come Christmas break.

@Hizang: Dishonored is more then "OMG! He killed her! Arrest him!" The new emperor and his minions know it wasn't you who killed the empress. They just want the city to think it was you. That isn't a spoiler by the way.

@awesomeusername: I know that, got to that point, but i feel like thats the premiss for a whole ton of movies/tv shows/video games. Does it get better than that eventually, or at the end does he save the girl and clear his name.

@Hizang: Only other game I can think of the main guy being framed is Darksiders. What other games use that story? Not trying to put you on the spot. I really don't remember/know any games. I know movies and shows do it a lot, just not any games. I thought the story was okay though. I beat it killing lots of people so I got a bad ending. In regards to the girl, I saved her. Twice. I think you can forget about her or save her, then let her die. I'm not sure though. After I platinum the game, I'm going to YouTube/Google everything that can happen in the game. It's a good game but I'm not really sure how I feel about it.

I know The Witcher 2 starts out with Geralt being framed for killing a king, I think. I haven't started it yet but from what I understand that's how the plot kicks off. Anyway, there's definitely way more than that.

Now that I'm on the spot I think it's really TV shows that do that, I don't know, I guess I just don't like that scenario.

@believer258: I never played nor will I ever play The Witcher 2 simply because I'm a PS3 guy and it'll probably never come out on it. So I wouldn't know the plot.

@Hizang: It is mostly movies, then tv shows. I just remembered that Asura's Wrath had the same plot though. Also MW2 & MW3. Heavy Rain kind of did it with Norman, I think. Jak 3 started with them kicking Jak out because they blamed him for the war going on or something. Mirrors Edge did it with Faith's sister being the suspect for killing that guy running for mayor. Out of 66 PS3 games that I've beaten this gen, those were the only games I could find.
