Top 3 video games you want to see remakes of...

Here are the top 3 video games that I want to see remade on current gen consoles.
1.  Resident Evil 2
2.  Final Fantasy 7
3.  Dino Crisis

Parasite Eve 
Front Mission 3 
Godhand

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3... that game would be kick-ass in HD with online leaderboards, replays. etc. etc... oh and they should throw some classic maps from 1+2 in there too.

1.  Final Fantasy VII - Really, who dosent want to see this at least attempted? 
2.  Godhand - Pretty much because it was the only clover leaf game i never got to play and it looked soo good!

3.  Shenmue - but only if they release it with the final 3rd part attached on the end. 
 
edit oh, and whilst they are at it how about some Panzar Dragoon, especially saga?  Also Burning Rangers and Jet Set Radio would be nice...

I kinda want to see SMT 1 and 2 (for the SNES) at least touched up (and an official translation) and maybe using the same engine as strange journey; I'm trying to play SMT 1, but I literally died on the first enemy I ran into. shit is no joke. also Persona 2, both of em

Hmm, I would really like to play remakes of great games I missed out on that has aged poorly. Mainly classic stuff from the PS1/N64 era of 3D graphics and old-school PC RPGs.

1. Flying Warriors - The best fighter/RPG ever. 
 
2. Super Castlevania IV - Like how Bionic Commando was remade for PSN/Live Arcade. OMG the music remade with more orchestra sounds, and graphics redone. They are still good for an SNES game, they would be amazing redone.
 
3. Ninja Gaiden Trilogy - like how I want 'vania IV. This one could be badass if done right. Great graphics that would allow for seamless transition between gameplay and cutscenes, which would use the in-game engine, Viewtiful Joe style. Voice-overs and the original ost, remixed and modernized.

Naturally, I have to agree with you. The original Fallout is a great game, but could do with a make-over and the fixing of a few bugs. I will also throw in a remake of Beneath a Steel Sky.  "

FF7....that's pretty much it, and even then I have my doubts whether I'd actually end up preferring the remake to the original. Games don't need to be remade...

1. Metal Gear Solid. I know there is that Twin Snake "edition", but that one really just don't cut it. I would like to see a fully remade MGS made the same way MGS4 was made. The same controls, graphics and new gameplay elements. That would have been awesome! 
2. ICO. Now this game is being re-released in HD next year... I think... together with Shadow Of The Collosus. But I would still like to see that game remade with a new and obviously improved graphic engine. 
3. Hmm... I don't really have a third one on the top of my head right now. Perhaps I'll come back to it. But at the moment, I'm good.  :P

Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain
 
Is the only one that currently springs to mind.  I'm not really a fan of needless remakes..  Games like Pokemon Fire Red are a perfect example of this.  Why remake a game that isn't very old, with barley any improvements?  Final Fantasy VII is another, while it would likely look a lot better, it would lose a lot of the charm.  (how creepy would the cross dress sequence be?).  I'd rather see VI done, if it kept the cartoony style.

1.Phantom dust, Cause I totally came up with the concept found out it existed just not in europe. And having trouble with buying stuff online And it's not backwards compatible So a remake( or sequel) would be PERFECT

Metal Gear 1 and 2 (before MGS) with MGS4 graphics perhaps? 

Carmageddon... i mean seriously, that game in HD would just be insane.

Another vote here for Grim Fandango. My favorite game of all time. I've been hoping that they'd redo it in the style the Monkey Island games have been redone lately, but I think that's a long shot. :(
 
And wow, someone mentioned Homeworld. I loved Homeworld at the time. Probably the only RTS I ever really enjoyed. I'd love to see a new version of that.

I hate everyone that said Final Fantasy VII.
 
I love the two of you that said Majora's Mask.

• Resident Evil 2, oddly enough, totally is on my list. Either RE4 or REmake style would be ok. Anything is better than a rail shooter. 
• I feel like X-COM is a game well deserving of a real update, because none of the franchise has been able to expand upon the first game in a meaningful way. No, not Terror From the Deep (Basically a reskin with a few minor changes), not Apocalypse (Some good ideas. Some bad ideas. Occasionally mediocre execution) and most definitely not the reboot they are doing right now (I'm sure it will be a great game. But the name doesn't really fit.) Make a goddamn Tactical Turn Based Strategy game. With Aliens. And make it hard. 
• Final Fantasy VI. Because it's totally better than both IV and VII.  Of course, Square would mess it up somehow. 
• Eye of the Beholder Series. Because people need to experience pre-Baldur's Gate D&D games.
  
• Ultima Underworld Series. Because, either of those games updated with more modern contrivances and controls would be pretty awesome.
