Features
There are plenty of GB apps for mobile devices, but this one focuses on few things (vs. many things) and tries to get them right:
- Focus on videos and podcasts. No articles / comments / forums.
- Scale from tablets to large screens (TV). Watch on your Surface, or maybe your PC hooked up to living room TV. Whatever floats your boat.
- Super lightweight. Runs fine on first gen Surface RT which is like the slowest Windows tablet out there
- Most importantly, save your progress in the Cloud™ so you pick up where you left off.
- Allow you to connect your premium membership (members-only videos, podcasts and HD videos)
- No ads. Because it would be wrong for me to make money off this.
Fun things you can try:
- "Play To" videos on your Xbox 360. Probably works on Xbox One too but I haven't tried yet.
- Download videos for offline play
- Pin things to your start screen - individual podcasts, video categories...
- Search for videos
