[Sorry if this has been brought up before, but a simple forum search didn't find any threads on this]

I was just pondering if perhaps the times on the Upcoming Schedule should be displayed using the 24 hour clock (Military Time/ISO 8601) instead of the somewhat archaic and (in most of the world) no longer used 12 hour clock.

I know a switch to 24h would help me immensely.

Thoughts?

Is the 12 hour clock really that unpopular? In what countries do the majority of people use 24h? Just curious.

Eh, I don't think the 12 hour clock is that much of a problem even though it is kinda stupid and archaic. I never had any problems figuring out when stuff happens

@zacagawea:

A list of Languages that use the 12h clock as default on computers

  • Albanian
  • Chinese (Singapore and Taiwan)
  • English (Australia, Belize, Canada, Caribbean, Jamaica, New Zealand, Philippines, Trinidad, South Africa, United States, and Zimbabwe)
  • Greek
  • Korean (Seoul and Pyongyang)
  • Spanish (Mexico and parts of South America)
  • Swahili

Anyone not on that list use the 24h clock as default, exceptions may exist... This information is taken from the internet ;P

It does know where you are and changes the times accordingly, but it always uses 12h time, which means at a glance those of used to the 24h clock might occasionally get abit confused or miss read the times. It's not a huge problem, it's just really annoying when it happens.

Adding an option to pick which one you want displayed would be the best solution. I have no idea how easy/hard it would be for them to implement, though.
