Not the most amazing music on it's own but if you have played Episode 2 then hopefully you will know why I love this music. That part of the game coupled with the music was amazing.

Know about it?! That game is one of my top picks for best game in history. I actually sat down and played through it again a few days ago. The music is still catchy as hell (especially the flying sequence in level 1), and it still retains a lot of it's difficulty and charm. I was mesmerized as a kid, and I still get a huge smile on my face when the Level Intro screen pops up.

Lol, I was just coming in to say the entire soundtrack for regular Persona 3 (I havent played FES). I got the cd in the box set of the game and I used to have all of the songs on my mp3 player... : )
I like a lot of different orchestral stuff. Mass Effect 1 and 2 had some really good pieces. I also really like a lot of the music from the Legend of Zelda titles (especially the tunes you play on your musical instruments). And I'm always down from some awesome 8-bit.

Yes the original StarCraft had a varied and great soundtrack that - as you said, wasn't something you really could listen to out of the game, but that just fitted perfectly to the races and gameplay.
Am I the only one who really didn't like the StarCraft II soundtrack though? A lot of reviewers seemed to love it, but it just sounded like a extremely generic "epic movie soundtrack" to me, while the original Star Trek soundtrack really went for a unique style, and had very different music for the different races.

Sorry about your Youtube embedding problems, but I'll take care of that for you. (Also, Rocket Knight Adventures is one of the most underrated games of all time. Seriously, loved just about everything about that game & got so excited when Rocket Knight was released on XBLA/PSN this year.)

I really prefer the 8bit and 16bit music. Creativity was needed to make great music within the limitations of the technology. Now they have no limitations, but yet resort to generic orchestral themes straight out of movies.
