Is it just me, or is the voice over in the top chef video on this page one Vinny Caravella?
Vinny doing non-gaming work?
@svestus: Vinny and Alex have said they have pitched in to help with a few TV Guide things when they needed some assistance. That's why they met some celebrities the other day. I assumed most of what they were doing was technical help, but it looks like they have done some voice work, as well.
CBSi manages the digital portion of TV Guide; so, it makes sense that they might ask them to help out a little when they're in the studio.
@doctordonkey: He's not called One Take Caravella for nothing.
@alucitary: I imagine someone walked into the studio while they were setting up for a Quick Look and asked him, "Hey, could you read this paragraph for me? Thanks."
Man, the TV Guide channel, remember when that was relevant? I remember always switching to that channel to see what was on. I'm actually surprised that it's still around.
Oh yeah, and Vinny was alright. He needed to sound a bit more excited though, it was a very monotone delivery.
Since Vinny is on televison does this mean we have to revoke his title of small business man? He's basically a celebrity.
That's 100% definitely him. I lost it when he said "gastronomic".
Edit: Oh my god, there is more. This is amazing.
Edit 2: There's so much. It's like sifting for gold. (here's my favorite so far)

These are TV programmes I'd expect from a Verhoeven film or something, I mean Naked Dating can't be real, can it? Vinny narrating over the top only makes it even more surreal. Good find, Duders.
@funkys: My dad flipped to it one day and it was so fucking awkward. There's a similar show where it's 2 survivalists that have to go out into the wilderness naked. While also stupid, at least the premise of that show forces the 2 people to respect/trust each other fully so they can make it through to the end unscathed. This show is just shameless vanity where 2 pretty people judge each others "assets".
This stuff happens and yeah it is Vinny. I have family that worked for some major media companies and this always happens. Their actual job was managerial but they would be tapped to voice radio adverts, do some video voice over, some broadcasting, etc etc whenever they needed it too. When you work for a company like that your job is basically anything your talent set covers when they need it covered.
Around the 0:58 mark where he's talking about Verlox (?) and his army, it kind of sounds like he's cracking up. And who could blame him?
Oh, and nice pull on the Radio Times cover from 1996, @fattony12000, I wonder what life after Peak Practice was like?

Life no longer has any meaning. It is a hollow, dead thing.
Cool for Vinny that he got to do voice work for TV Guide videos. I wouldn't worry him leaving GB though guys this might be a side job of his.
